How Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, and Bathsheba got into the genealogy of Jesus Christ

None of them were a direct bloodline in the Genealogy as they only birthed the children who were the bloodline of their fathers in the lineage. Mary is a different case because it was a virgin birth of Christ.

Right. This is not the blood lineage of Jesus but His legal lineage, as Matthew says this is His genealogy, but is careful to note that Joseph is not His biological father

So what do you think was Matthew's purpose in including these women in Jesus' genealogy?

Could it be pointing to harlots and Gentiles entering the Kingdom of God before unfaithful Israel? (Mat 21:31)

The geneology in matthew goes through Joseph....
Who had nothing to do with the blood line of Jesus
The geneology inLuke goes through Mary
The seadline spoken of in genesis 3:15
That would strike the serpents head.....

The geneology follows closely but splits,at David...Bathseba.....Solomon
Matthew 1:6
Then follows Nathan also,by bathseba...
Luke 3:31
GOd chose nathan over solomon for His own reasons...
But He always chose the one who was righteous......
Ex. Seth over CAin
JAcob over Esau......
David vs. his other brothers.....

Correct. And if you notice, all these women would be included in the blood genealogy because in Lukes account it goes through Nathan and not Solomon, well Nathan and Solomon had the same father and mother, so Bathsheba would be in the blood, as well as the other 3 women

These 4 women would be a direct bloodline, because although Lukes account goes to Mary, through David's son Nathan, Nathan's mom was Bathsheba also. So all these 4 women are in Solomon's blood and Nathan's. And if they'e in Nathan's then they are also in Mary's

Perhaps the reason God chose Nathan over Solomon was because there was a curse on Jeconiah that none of his descendents can sit on the throne, which Jeconiah is one of Solomon's descendents.

I was under the impression one line represents the priesthood and the other the king

Luke points out genealogy back from Joseph husband of Mary through David/Nathan/Noah/Adam
Matthew Joseph back through to Solomon/David and stops

When doing a Genealogy you are either doing your mothers side or your fathers side. The bloodline only comes from one or the others last name and not both. When I did my Genealogy on my fathers side it was father, grandfather, Great Grandfather and so forth as it was his last name that was the bloodline as mother and father are not related only by marriage. The children are the bloodline being both of the father and mother.

Ok.
So my question still stands unanswered.

The women are always included in a Genealogy as either being the wife of the husbands bloodline who bore his children or they themselves are actually part of the bloodline because of their mother or father. I really do not see what Matthew 21:31 has to do with this as it's not speaking about a Genealogy. In the Genealogy of Jesus the women mentioned there are only named as being the children's mother, nothing more, nothing less.
