How to Find False Prophets Using Scripture Pt2

That is awesome that they are telling people about Jesus. That is a good ministry. There is nothing wrong with that, but what if God decides to test them and someone asks them about hell, sin, temptation or the devil? Would they avoid the question and just keep preaching Jesus? For example, if a believer isn't aware of hell then is he aware of who the devil is, what temptation is and what sin is? Wouldn't they already know these things being that they are indwelled with the Holy Spirit?

They teach about sin. It's impossible to teach about the "good news" without telling people they are sinners in need of a savior.

Of course they will teach about Satan and Hell when they are able.

No we don't have perfect knowledge of all things because of teh indwelling of the Holy spirit. Look at the mess the church in Corinth! Man alive if scripture didn't teach me otherwise I would declare they were not saved......but.....we know they were. They had the "gifts" of the Holy spirit and they were making a mess of things. Paul had to "teach them" how to use those gifts of the Holy Spirit properly.

I know my grandmother back in the 40's use to go read the bible at a black Church before she went to her own church. No blacks in the congregation owned a bible or knew how to read. She would read and then leave them to worship God in song, prayer and they would just talk about what she read. They could not read a bible if you gave them one.

We are really blessed to have bibles.

You're right about not having perfect knowledge of all things. That makes sense, but here's the thing though, I wasn't accusing people of being false prophets who don't have a bible, internet or who can't read. These people are literally starring at the scripture on the computer screen and still avoiding and denying, as if Jesus never said it. That is different than the people you are talking about. You're actually opening up my view into a whole new world here. We are blessed. Blessings.
