Rev 17;16
And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
The above verse is speaking of ten kings(countries)who shall destroy Jerusalem which is called by the name of Babylon in the scripture. The question is where do these kings come from and how do we find them?
The answers are in the scriptures themselves.
Babylon is destroyed in REV 16;19, and we see that there are kings of the east whos way is being prepared in
Rev 16;12.
And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphratyes and the water thereof was dried up,that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
There is our first clue as to where these kings come from.We know the kings just east of Jerusalem would be of our friends in the muslim world and it is logical to think these kings may harbor some resentment toward Jerusalem. After all.The king of Iran has openly sudjested that the Israeli goverment should be wiped off the face of the globe.
So what might the scripture say about Iran which so happens to be on the eastern side of the Euphrates?
Jerimiah 51;11
Make bright the arrows; gather the shields: the LORD hath raised up the spirit of the kings of the Medes: for his device [is] against Babylon, to destroy it; because it [is] the vengeance of the LORD, the vengeance of his temple.
The Medes, (Greek Μῆδοι, from Old Persian ماد Mādai) were an ancient Iranian people[2] who lived in the northwestern portions of present-day Iran
Jerimiah 51;13
O thou that dwelleth upon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine end is come, and the measure of thy covetousness.
And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
