How To Get To Heaven

First buy a King James Version Bible if you don't already have one at Dollar General or somewhere like that. Tithes And Offerings tells you where you can read a free King James Bible online. Start to read and meditate on some of it every day. Start memorizing some verses. Continue to meditate on these verses throughout the day. Do this day and night. If you now have no faith you will soon start having some faith. You will soon become a believer - a Christian. Then you will grow as a Christian. Before long you will yield fruit and be ready to go to heaven. BUT you need to be sure to DO what it says and not just read it. Just reading it alone will do you no good. Keep this up every day for the rest of your life and I'll meet you some day in heaven.

Does this mean that nobody who died before 1611 will be in heaven, since they didn't have a King James Bible? Does this also mean that nobody who doesn't understand English has a chance of being saved because they can't read the KJV Bible? I've read the whole Bible from cover to cover a number of times over the years, but I'm afraid it appears to have been in the wrong translation. Maybe the relevant verses were left out of the Icelandic translation. Can you quote the verse for me that says something along the lines of "Read the KJV every day and you shall be saved"?

This thread is so wrong, on so many levels.

The term 'Apostate' just leaps off the page at me.

:devil

Well, as I've said before, unless you read fluent shakesphere, thats not suprising.

I like the king james, but thank God for translations in modern english as well, that's all I can say.

Thanks for posting rwbovee but I think God is the only one who has the final word on what constitutes salvation and how a person can obtain it.

God bless :waving

PS. And I think that the only way that any of us can really find that out is to ask him personally.

All the best.

In a thread titled "how to ge to heaven", the moment I see the words "get a King James Bible" alarm bells start ringing. The Bible is the Bible mate. Just becasue the KJV was one of the first doesn't mean that it's the best or the only correct one.

We are saved by faith - not by works, by God's Grace. Not by reading the KJV every day.

How about NO

This would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

I always thought that the idea was to bring heaven to earth.. The rest kinds sort's itself out.;)

Matthew 6:9 So pray this way:
Our Father in heaven, may your name be honored,
6:10 may your kingdom come,
may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

That's for sale? :biglol

Sure is. You can get one at your local music or book store.

One word: faith

Faith! Yes, but we are still judged by our works.
Revelation 12:17
Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring—those who obey God's commandments and hold to the testimony of Yahshua.

Revelation 14:12
This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God's commandments and remain faithful to Yahshua.
