How to Sub-due the Adamic Nature

Our old Adamic nature can be sub-dued but it cannot be inhilated. Many believe that the Adamic nature can be completely destroyed, they are of a holiness religion like Catholicism, Nazarenes and many others. They have convinced themselves that they don't sin. Sin is the transgression of God's law. The law is both written and spiritual, Romans 7:14. Some do quite well with the written law but fail miserably with the spiritual law. The spiritual law searches the desires and the intent of the heart, Hebrews 4:12. To keep the spiritual law all of our thoughts would have to be pure and without sin. Not going to happen.

Everyone is born into the world with an Adamic nature Psalm 51:5, this nature is opposed to God's law and is Godless. Paul brought this out when he said, "There is none righteous, no, not one" Romans 3:10. Simply because all have been born after Adam. They have Adam's blood coursing through their veins and are sinners. When Adam sinned against God, all of humanity sinned also, because our humanity was constituted in him. We are spiritually related to Adam.

Our old Adamic nature can be very disturbing because it wants to dominate us. Paul struggled with his Adamic nature when he said, "But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members" Romans 7:23. Paul was describing his fight with his Adamic nature. It wanted to take control of him. The Christian life is a fight, we have to fight against the influences of the flesh. Satan works through the flesh, because the flesh is weak. Eve was taken in by the devil because he convinced her that she would be like God, a very fleshy desire.

The Adamic nature can be subdued by faith in Christ and his Gospel. In the Gospel Jesus crucified our Adamic nature along with the law. We don't have to obey the law, which promotes sin, Romans 7:8, because "Where there is no law there is no sin" Romans 4:15. This is for Christians only. Nor do we have to listen to Adam because he is dead, Romans 6:7. Crucified with Christ. This is all very spiritual, if you don't have the Holy Spirit, you will not understand any of it. There are multitudes of people that are trying to do in their flesh what God has already done in Jesus Christ. It is a religion of the flesh. Holiness religions are a religion of the flesh.

God has already dealt with our sins in the person of Jesus Christ. As for as God is concerned sin, death and the devil have been destroyed and Jesus now sits in heaven as "The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords" Revelation 19:16. If sin has been destroyed and God is no longer concerned about it, why should we be concerned about it? God sees his people as perfect and complete in Christ, Colossians 2:10. If we are spiritually perfect and complete in Christ, then sin does not have dominion over us. Why feed a dead horse?

He sits in heaven as our High Priest, whom we can go to in our weakness and hour of need:

Hebrews 4:15-16
15For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who was tempted in every way that we are, yet was without sin. 16Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

This is how we subdue the temptations and appetites of the flesh. He sympathizes with our weaknesses and when we approach the throne of grace with these weaknesses he gives us deliverance from the power of the flesh.

The scripture says, "We have a high priest which cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities" Hebrews 4:15. The reason that he cannot be touched with our infirmities is because he has victoriously overcome the world, the flesh and the devil. Jesus is not interested in overcoming sin, death and the devil again. We have already been given power over the flesh because Jesus put to death the flesh.

We have already been given power over the flesh because Jesus put to death the flesh.
1Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

It was Jesus that was put to death in the flesh and God raised Him from the grave as now we have new life in Him to all who will believe and call on His name. Our flesh is weak as we are still mortal and the flesh wants what the flesh wants and the only way to overcome the flesh is by walking in the Spirit as we crucify this flesh as it is an ongoing process. But, and this is no excuse, being as we are being perfected daily, as no one is perfect yet, we will mess up at times, but like God said " My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." It is within our weakness that we do the things we do not want to do, but we have a high priest that sits at the right hand of God who makes intercession for us when we approach the throne of grace.

Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Paul, like all of us, still struggled with sin in the flesh as we are yet mortal and not perfect in the flesh, but are being perfected in the Spirit as we continue to walk in the Spirit of God. Let's take a look at what Paul said about his own self.

Rom 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
Rom 7:8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
Rom 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
Rom 7:10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
Rom 7:11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
Rom 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
Rom 7:13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
Rom 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
Rom 7:15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
Rom 7:16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
Rom 7:17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
Rom 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Rom 7:20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
Rom 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
Rom 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1Co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
1Co 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
1Co 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
1Co 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
1Co 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

What did David really mean in Psalm51:5 ?
Psalms 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Just what did David's mother Nitzevet do ? This verse is not about "original sin" but it is about a plan carried out by Nitzevet ! Read at the link and learn about the plan . I was reading the article at this link out loud to my wife and got so choked up I had to stop to regain my composure .

Psalm 51:5 is about original sin. The Old Testament is full of examples of original sin. Many of the prophets and patriarchs confessed that they were sinners. Isaiah said, "We are all as an unclean thing, and all of our righteousness are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away" Isaiah 64:6.

Not so
Christ is a savior in two ways
He forgives our past sins and preserves us by His powerful grace from future sins
Mary in virture of the merits of Her divine son was preserved by God from original sin and all sin Lk 1:49

Christ is our salvation! Lk 2:30
Mary is the mother of our salvation!
Found our salvation! Lk 1:30
Consented to our salvation! Lk 1:38
Immaculate conception preserved from all sin by God! Gen 3:15 Lk 1:28 rev 12:1
God provided a means salvation to men thru Mary!
Mother of our savior / salvation!

Bible proves that Mary most holy, ever virgin mother of God & mother of our salvation is not a sinner!

Lk 1:28 Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women.

How can God fill a sinner with grace, and remain a sinner?
Hail Mary full of grace!

How can the Lord be with a sinner?
The lord is with thee!

How can sinner be blessed!
Blessed art thou, and all generations shall call me blessed!

Lk 1: 43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

How can a sinner be the mother of God?

Lk 1: 45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

How could sinner be faithful?

Lk 1: 46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,

How could a sinner magnify the Lord?

Lk 1:48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

How could sinner be humble?

Lk 1:49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.

How could sinner be the immaculate conception and the have the Holy Spirit accomplish the Miraculous conception of Jesus in Her?

Matt 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

How could sinner be a perpetual Virgin bringing forth the savior of the world?

Jn 2 how could Christ obey a sinner and perform a miracle in which his disciples believed in him?

Jn 19:27 Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.

How could sinner be our spiritual mother?

Lk 2:30 I have seen my salvation!

How could a sinner be the mother of our salvation?

A good tree!

Biblical principle:

Matthew 7:18
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

The fruit of the tree of Mary is our salvation! Matt 1:21 Lk 2:30 Jesus is our salvation! This reflects the immaculate conception of Mary and the miraculous conception of Jesus!
Lk 1:30 Mary found our salvation!
Lk 1:38 consented to our salvation!

A good tree (immaculate conception) Lk 1:49 God has done this and it is marvelous in our eyes!

Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Matt 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

A sinner would be an evil tree with evil fruit, but the fruit of Mary is salvation!

Mary brings in the good fruits of our redemption and salvation!

So Mary CANNOT be a sinner or a bad tree!

Mary’s throne is the throne of divine grace! Heb 4:16

Tree of life!

The tree of life on the garden is a type of Mary!

Genesis 3:22
And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: (Jn 6:51)

A Good tree cannot bear bad fruit!
A biblical principle approved by Jesus even though He knew it would be used to defend His sinless mother!

Mary is the tree of life!

Sacred womb of Mary!

Isa 7:14 Theotokos the “God bearer”!

Sacred womb!
Blessed fruit of her womb!

Matt 1:16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

Matt 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Lk 1:42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.

A sinner cannot have a sacred womb and be blessed and have a blessed fruit of her womb!

Only a good tree, a holy & immaculate tree can bear the good fruit who is God and our redemption and salvation!

Only a queen can bear a king!

The mother of the king is always a queen!

Mary was born after Adam just like the rest of us and needed a savior, Luke 1:47.

Mary was born after Adam just like the rest of us and needed a savior, Luke 1:47.
Lk 1:47 says nothing about needing to be forgiven for committing sins!
Christ is savior in two ways
One: he forgives our past sins.
Two: he preserves us by his powerful grace from future sins.
Both are saving actions both way involve a savior!
Mary is not what we claim her to be by nature but by Grace!
Mary was preserved from original sin and all sin by God in virtue of the merits of Her divine son!
Gen 3:15 enmity total war with satan
Lk 1:28 full of grace
Lk 1:30 found our salvation
Lk 1:38 consented to our salvation
Lk 145 faithful to God ref. Eph 2:8
