i am neither married nor have Children

i guess it is not believed that a celibate man of God can give any Holy Ghost knowledge in this forum. Just read the rules, will not reply in this thread again, being that i am not married nor have children.

granted it would be hard give advice on marriage and raising children .but to be honest i been married we have on child marriage over 35 years a son 30 ..but neither one came with a instruction book .. so why do you think you cant give Holy Ghost knowledge as you say ?

The rules of this forum are:
"You must be over 18 and be married, and/or have offspring, and/or be engaged to post here. Otherwise please use the Singles, Courtship & Dating forum."

Because people who can't afford enough grace giving to a person of the opposite sex and have never experienced it really don't have the standing to counsel others as to how to be successful in these relationships.

Same goes for parenting... except if all your children have become incarcerated for such crimes that they will never see the light of day again... probably shouldn't be handing out advice either.

Successful marriage or parenting doesn't necessarily mean that you can give good advice but it does mean that you might actually know something...the chances are higher than never engaging in the activities.

Kinda like me giving a singer voice lessons...I'm not ever going to be a singer. I don't know the craft or have the ears to hear the difference. Obviously I would be a poor counselor to those who actually have the talent.

hi. im a former gay dude, saved (ongoing...) by Jesus, pursuing God and also...giving up the gay lifestyle, so...celibate. :)

I try not to post here...I'm just chiming in because of the OP. Deal is...

well, on some (many?) topics, a bond in Christ is sufficient. Or just...being human, honestly. But when it comes to things like this, I think there is something to be said for 'real life experience,' etc. and so...

as a celibate Christian who was once a gay dude, I sometimes skim these, because...even though I don't have much to contribute, it is interesting, to see what life in the domestic sphere is like for many (most?) Christians, the ups and downs, heart aches and heart warming moments, etc.

to relate to my own experiences, its kinda like...times when I've vented, about the rough (mis)treatment I got as a 'mental patient,' and people who'd never been hospitalized, never dealt with harsh psych people, would tell me about the wonders of mental health. I don't get angry about it, now (I'm a lot less angry in general...separate topic...), but it goes to the importance of having at least some shared experiences, in dealing with some aspects of life.

on a personal note (yet again...), reading over some posts in this section has made me see life...differently, better...and not being permitted to engage might have actually helped that along, I think. kind of like...the old saying, something like you have 2 ears and one mouth...or that only a fool writes more than he (she) reads....

blah blah blah. its not about excluding people, its about only including people who have shared experiences...

which I think some other posters have brought up, too. and there you go. :)

we make rule that may not be needed sometime the school of life holds the answer like marriage and kids .that dont come with instructions ..but lots of advice.. but may not fit the moment . paul had advice for married couples but never married

Actually Paul was married but we aren't sure if he consumated his relationship or not. In the end he had to divorce her because of his relationship with Christ...and his status as a Christian.

And then there was Lydia...it is obvious that she loved him. He never married her either.

So where he might not have lived as a married man...his advice is solid.

Actually Paul was married
show where it says that. my whole point sometimes ya dont got to be married or have children to give advice .i realize the so called rules are not to be questioned well my bad .

The Bible may contain history but it isn't a history book. There are other writings and commentaries that suggest these things.

The destruction of the Temple in 70AD is not scripture but for some reason you believe it.

Which would mean that you cannot really give practical advice to parents. So leave that to others.
not necessarily depending on the type advice being parents does not come with instructions yes advice from parent/g parents other parents.. but sometimes God gives wisdom to others.. i mean if you had a child rebellious asked a non parent what to do. they said try to love them talk to them but dont look past what they are doing... would you or other consider that sound advice ? stop and think

You go David, i feel the same way, honestly i am torn between two worlds. I might need assistance when i am old and its nice to have a family or at least kids. My middle sister talks about it all the time. At the same time being single is nice there is so much freedom and less stress. To say the least.
