Yesha: Both the tribes of Dan and Ephraim are relaced by Joseph and Levi in this account in Rev. 7:7-8. This happened because Dan and Ephraim introduced idolatry into Israel, and their names were blotted out from under heaven. See Deut. 29:18,20.

The 144.000 here are sealed, protected? by theangels who were to injure the land and the sea. It seems the 144,000 will be special servants for the Lord during the millennium.

Good observation Bick. I certainly agree, although I believe they are sealed for protection for other purposes prior to the millennium, during God's Wrath.

Yes Vic, you are right, they are protected during the tribulation period. I was projecting their place as servants of Christ the King during the millennium.

Actually, the tribes of Dan and Ephraim will have land in the millennium, according to Ezek.48, the reason given in Rom.11:29, "The gifts and calling of God are irrevocable." Thus, even though the tribes will miss out on the blessings of serving the Messiah, the land promised to them, as well as all the tribes, will be theirs.
