When a man is CALLED of the Lord, there is a change in that man after he repents (agrees with God),(2 Cor. 5:16-18). Then God regenerate the believer with the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:37-39)...only Christ adds to the church (Acts 2:41-48; Acts 5:14)....you don't join a local church and account it as being saved, nor is the pastor or priest the head of the Church (body of Christ)....Christ alone is (Col. 1:17-19). The Holy Scriptures are not ours, They are God's, and they can not be interpreted by the carnal christian as the word of God, when men are claiming their own beliefs by making a doctrine by one Scripture, when doctrines are explained in an entirety by the prophets and Apostles, upon Christ being the chief cornerstone. (Eph. 2:19-21).
The visible Churches of today are mostly of the Laodicea and Ephesus congregations, settled in or usurping Christ authority, making the doctrines of men. They snub their nose as self righteous by the order of their denomination or pastor. They spend much money on buildings, paying the pastor huge salaries, buying them new cars and houses and throwing a few dollars to charities. When contesting a doctrine, and it makes you personally angry, it is usually your doctrine and not Scriptural, for the born again believer is settled in the truth, and while he may challenge YOUR doctrine, he will not go as far as to berate your false doctrine but has pity upon those who walk after the doctrines of men. I find it strange by some of the carnal titles or names, and some of the worldly sayings of wisdom as attachments to their post page on the forums. There should be a change in your life as Christ in you. Not many are watching. Watch Israel, it is God's time clock, and have a personal relation with the Lord, for MANY will hear, "away from me, I know you not," (Luke 13:25-28; Matt. 7:23; 2 Tim. 2:13; Matt. 7:21-23). If you are not watching or not grieved at this worlds principles, I would check my relationship with the Lord....For living Godly will bring persecution to the believer (2 Tim. 3:11-13). Look up, for our redemption is near.
In Christ, who alone is our righteousness, and our wisdom.

Hi Douglas, this seems to be a very timely message. The worse thing I could imagine happening is that Jesus says to me 'I do not know you.' I can't think of anything worse. Thanks for the jolt in your timely message. Laodicea seems appropriate to me.
We are going to need a very strong faith to stand in the last days.

Hi Tessa, Today, people stand on their own carnal knowledge of God instead of knowing God.....They are legends in their own mind. They probably do many good works, but only to their own pride and as a argument of their works for entering into heaven., but God will not know them, for they bypassed the grace and mercy of God and tried to climb in some other way....God does not know them...Study these Scriptures. (John 10:1-38) (Matt. 7:21-23) (1 Cor. 13:1-13). Until we can see what man really is, we can not see God's love, and it is that love that binds us and plants us on the rock (Christ).
Love you in the Lord,

I've been checking on the verses you posted Douglas.
The sum of it is (or at least as I came to) is that our God is Love, love with a very great love. Probably so great that we cannot comprehend it fully.
It also shows me that God expects us to be filled with love. A much greater love then we possess.
There are many verses that explain what love is, and it includes many things.

I used to think this verse meant suffering Luke 9:23 I think I must have skipped over the last part. There is a lot to work on.

Luke 6:35 This is where I fall short. If someone has done me a great wrong I find it very easy to forgive and forget if they are sorry. I will still forgive to those eho are not sorry but I don'tdon't forget.

Galatians 5:22 The first fruit of the spirit mentioned here is love.

1 John 4:8 Says it all.

Love is made up of so many things. There is a lot to be done. The Holy Spirit will be a strong help.

Hope I got it right :smile

Love you in the Lord

Douglas I like your post as you speak truth to the church. Look what the angel of the Lord said to the Church of Pergamos in Rev 2:15, 16 about the teachings of the Nicolaitanes as Christ will fight against them with sword (word) of His mouth.

The Nicolaitans were a Gentile heretic sect that converted over to Judaism to dominate others with their heretic teachings. Irenaeus, Hippolytus, Epiphanius, and Theodoret mentioned this group, and stated that the deacon Nicolas was the author of the heresy and the sect. The Nicolaitanes are the followers of that Nicolas who was one of the seven first ordained to the diaconate by the apostles in AD 33, Acts 6:5. They lead lives of unrestrained indulgence as in eating things offered to idols. The teaching of the Nicolaitans was to dominate the people leading them astray from that of what Jesus taught and this goes against the teachings of Jesus, Matthew 20:25-28.

Rev 2:20 Jesus warned the Church of Thyatira about the Jezebel spirit that loves to teach from the pulpits as she seduces the servants of God with her false teachings.

All through scripture we are giving warning not to heed to those seducing spirits that cause many to fall away from truth. One of my greatest pet-peeves is when you show someone they are wrong and even have them read the verse that is taken out of context within what they are being taught and they will look you right in the face and say, that's not what my Pastor teaches and I will believe what he/she says.

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. 7 As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame.

Hi Glory, All you posted is true, all we can do is warn and pray. It is not pride of knowledge that I post Scriptural warnings, but a calling out to those who are satisfied with their church and not aware of Christ's instructions in these last days,.....many will be caught unaware, they have left Christ outside knocking on the door......not for them to come out, but can he come in. Rev. 3:20.

My last Pastor had a saying that we are not sent to teach the word, but to repair the false teachings that are being taught that is causing a great falling away from truth. There is no pride of knowledge when we are in Christ and He in us as we are about our Fathers business staying in His will.
