I Don't Know.

I'll post this here, because the people I'm dealing with are the kind of KIDS that give teens a bad name.

I'm married, out of high school, moved to a different town (and live with my husband), etc. I'm turning 19 in July. Though, in retrospect, I am a teen...the things I do and the responsibilities I have are FAR from the stereotypical teen.

I deleted my Facebook last week, because a few of the kids I went to high school with, and used to be very close with, were saying things (Apparently, because I don't agree with homosexuality, that means I hate all gays, but...I do not hate anyone, and since I find it hard to be BEST friends with atheists, I'm a horrible person.)...Yeah, I know "sticks and stones" but come on, words hurt. Bad thing is, my brother is in the service and he's in Germany right now (just got back from Iraq about seven months ago.). Facebook is the only way to talk to him. So this morning, about an hour ago, I created a new profile so I could talk to him and my family.

Twenty minutes later, I'm driving to my office and I get a text saying I received a message from one of the kids. In the message, it says, "Shove Your Christian Bull Shit Up Your Ass BITCH!!!! =)" This is coming from a kid girl who claims to be an adult, she's 20 and pregnant and of course, unmarried. She's living with the dad, who's a satanist btw (and I mean, he has the satanic bible and reads it and follows it). Her father is a Deacon and she says she's Catholic. :shame

Disagreeing with homosexuality and being a homophobe/hating gays are two completely different things. o_o

And just because you find it hard to be best friends with atheists, doesn't mean you are a horrible person. I'm an atheist, and I find it hard to be best friends with devout theists. It's not a personal thing. They're are just generally too many lifestyle differences and differences in beliefs that would have us debating/arguing all the time.

If she's 20, she's not a kid. Just saying. neither are you anymore. She is acting like it, but she isn't a kid. And her comment was uncalled for. It also sounds like she is spiteful to religion for one reason or another.

I agree.

I agree again. That is why my best friend (who's homosexual and an atheist) and I said we can't hang out as much anymore. One thing led to another and now we've stopped talking completely. We're being civil though. This girl, along with many others, is just getting herself involved for no reason, as this mutual agreement to distance ourselves is not about her. It's strange. My (ex) best friend and I are fine, we're "breaking up" maturely but everyone else is acting like I personally hurt their feelings.

I agree but a lot of people would disagree...I know plenty of "adults" who call someone my age, or up to 25, "kids" and actually mean they're kids...like, older kids. By calling her a kid, I was implying that although she's legally an adult, she is acting as though she is a child. Some adults never stop acting like a child with age. Oh well, not my problem.

Yeah I don't like when people say certain christians hate gays. I just usually telll them that we don't hate them, we just disagree with the actions and their lifestyle.

Speak for yourself there. I have met quite a few people, Christians and non-Christian (although more Christians than non-Christians, but that is playing the odds partly), who do hate gays. I'm not saying all Christian do or don't. Just that there are Christians out there who will use the bible to propagate their hate for gays.

Most Christians don't hate gays; many just disagree with their lifestyle.

Yeah thats why I put "certain". By certain I meant christians that don't hate gays, sorry, I should've been more clear.

I don't agree with those certain Christians. As Christians, we are followers of Christ and we should try to live our lives the way he did his (though, we'll never succeed.) and Jesus did not hate anyone.

I agree, Sarah. And these so called 'kids' that by age are adults act like kids, which is not a good sign if these are the future generation of the world.

Tip for Facebook: use the block feature. Works very well. :yes

They're not blocked but I haven't gotten anything from them since so, whatever. I'm praying for them and that's all I can do.
