I had a nice thought about Christ

Today during work, sorting things out (organisation) and generally being productive I had some good thoughts about our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. His love permeates through humanity, teaching us right from wrong and generally helping us out in bad times. This healing warmth reminds us that Christ loves us in difficult times.

Just now I had a conversation with my father, and while our relationship has been difficult in the past, there is definitely some healing going on. While talking to him (my father), I was reminded of Christ's love and forgiveness that made him who he was and why he is still remembered today. We should be like him and when we are able to, forgive and remember the love Christ has for all of us, that is in all of us.

I leave you with this quote from John 14:23

Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.

It is always worth looking at the love Jesus demonstrated in becoming man.
It is also worth looking at how tough that love is.

Jesus died a degrading, brutal death that we would not have to face God's rightous and just wrath.
Jesus's forgiveness is not poured out willy nilly, but only to those who repent.

Copying Jesus means having the same tough love.
