I just realized something..... Jesus is not Caucasian!

I was listening to some Black Panther dude on the radio as he explained that Moses was black and married an Etheopian chick....

He backed it up in history and scripture...

Than he says that the White Jesus we see is the ONE race that Jesus COULD NOT be.... Jesus NEVER went to Europe! lol!

Imagine that!

Then I remembered every single pic I have seen in a church and they were all....

WHITE!

Its a lie!

lol....

There are no white Biblical heros like we have plastered all over the place!

Jesus is of Jewish ethnicity, and Jews are from the Mid-East area, so no, He's not going to be white.

hmmm... Soma-Sight claims to have seen Jesus in a vision. He only realises NOW, long after his "visions," that Jesus is not Caucasian!

Doctors CAN help you Soma-Sight. My mother-in-law was also having visions because her medication was too strong. She saw black hairy figures standing next to her bed.

Eating "magic buttons" can have the same effect. :silly:

LOL   He pulled his pants right on down to show his behind on that one, didn't he?! :D

No, Christ wasn't white as we perceive it nor was he black as we perceive it.

Spot on. :smt023

And the bible is a very Jewish book. Understanding their culture can give a lot of insights into scripture.

Given that Jesus was half Mary and half God, then the God part could have made Jesus any color.

He was of Semitic origin on His mother's side. He was not Caucasian, NOR was he Negroid.

He appeared as the Arabs probably look.

I agree with cly and I heartily agree with your second statement, PL.

The more important thing is... does it even matter? Do you think the lack of evidence of His looks other than visions of grey hair and beard was intentional? I do.

Everey culture in the world depicts Jesus looking just like them. On one level, this is problematic, for it bespeaks a certain degradation of His transcendance. On another level, the presentation of Christ with 'a face like mine' (be that Semitic, Korean, Eastern European, Aborigine...) demonstrates His transcendance, and the beauty of God identifying with His children.

Two poles, each with potential pitfalls.

The reality is, Jesus said that we can see Him in the (faces) of "the least of these." In other words, Jesus is Caucasian/is Black/is Mandarin/is Indigenous.

Buddha is always depicted as heavy and Oriental; Muhammed is not depicted, but if he was, we would not see him depicted with Asian features.

Who is like unto our Lord?
To whom can we compare Jesus, the Christ?
None.

I will be honest with you....

What I saw if Him was pure brilliance.....

It was not a "physical sight" but a "spiritual sight"

The Soma - Sight

For an ex atheist that is so knowledgeable now about Truth....

You should know that not even Jesus' own discplies recognized His Risen and Glorified form....

If you ever have a vision Gary... Good luck trying to remember it even hours after... It comes and goes and cannot be put into the physical framework of fleshy sight as you are implying..... You can remember 'what" you saw but as far as the detail and spiritual sight goes.... it leaves you.

Jesus Appears to the Disciples
36While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you."
37They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost. 38He said to them, "Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds? 39Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have."

Gary,

Boy you really know how to open a can of worms dont you!

I wonder if you are implying that spiritual visions and prophetic states have no NEUROPHYSIOLOGY behind them?

That doenst sound too scientific my friend!

Dreams have these same characteristics.

BTW, Paul, by the power of the Holy Spirit, wrote epistles that are infallible. He also said that it was not profitable to even talk about those visions, because they cannot be proven and the claims only open the door for every false teacher to claim the same thing. He stayed silent about them until he was asked and forced to answer.

So then why even BOTHER posting something about his color if all of a sudden you decide that color isn't important? This is a topic that has already been discussed.
