I just realized something..... Jesus is not Caucasian!

So then why even BOTHER posting something about his color if all of a sudden you decide that color isn't important? This is a topic that has already been discussed.

In defense, of Soma, if he felt as though, that he wanted to post something, that he felt was worth posting why not ? What's the harm ? A lot of Christians have always swept this subject under the rug. Even though color is not important, because God loves us all, it is good to know the truth, and there is nothing wrong with going after the truth. I am not trying to start an argument here, because I love you all, but why is Soma being bashed for this ? And also to imply that his vision was not real is very unfair. How can anyone of us say that he did not have that vision. God gives them to whom He pleases. And I know you all know that.

I like picking with Soma. He knows that. Some of us were part of his "project" or "study" at one time and so I feel that I'm entitled to giving him a hard time.

Also, I DO feel as though a lot he posts just need to be ignored. I think he likes to ruffle feathers.

Soma, am I wrong?

I think both whites and blacks are mistaken in trying to label His skin color with theirs. I am as disturbed by the blond haired blue eyed Jesus as much as I am by the black one with an afro. Both are just plain wrong.

A PERMANENT one at that! :-?

Sure maybe bringing up my experience is somehow "pointless" to you all but what can I say.....

My girlfriend is dying in the hospital.... (her parents wont even come to visit, I am the only one there, and they are evangelicals of course)

My mom just got out of surgery..... (no one is helping her back on her feet)

My brother is mentally ill.....

My grandparents are dying....

And there is no love to be found.....

Maybe I just wanted to share a GOOD TIME in my life.....

Soma, you can always share man. If something is hurting you spit it out. Or you could PM me if you want to. I know what it is to hurt.

I'm sorry if I upset you Soma. You and I have talked and I hope you know I enjoy teasing with you. I've often been told that I think too much. With me, I think too much when it comes to schoolwork.

Maybe we're more alike than I want to admit.

Soma-Sight I am truly sorry that there is so much pain in your life. I belieave that God in his wisdom does send visions to those he chooses. Maybe the reason one was sent to you is because of all the heartache you are and have been going through. I will add you to my prayers in this time of trouble. As far as the color of Jesus I have always thought every different nationality that belieaves in Jesus see's him looking as they do.

In my opinion there is only one single race of people the human race. What does skin color have to do with it, if Christ would have been born in a cold climate along with his ansesters would his skin tone be different. Darker, lighter who cares he is the savior and I am so glad he can look past color.

I should not even comment on the subject but I believe in micro evolution such as your pigment changing to deal with the enviroment in which you live. Now Macro evolution that is a different story for a different thread.
 
Yes there is know race but the human race. The word race, was not used until the 30's really. But anyway Jesus came out of the tribe of Shem, the name Shem means brown, dusky, or olive. The Shemites were just like it says, brown, dusky, or olive. And when Jesus was sent into Egypt as a child it was to blend in with the people. Egyptians are olive and brown people. Even Paul looked like an Egyptian, Acts 21:38 KJV. And this was said to Paul, below.
