I might loose my job

Becoming free from the conditions you were facing while continuing to work there, you have become liberated now have a life. I too will be in prayer for your new beginnings. :salute

Wow man that is crazy, but God is more powerful than this, and He might want you to learn something from this.

THat place sounded like the first Motorola shop I worked for. I actually learned a LOT in the 8 years I worked there, but it was tough at times. They were always changing rules and coming up with reasons we could not be paid better - but there was evidence they were making GOOD money. I felt SO good the day I was able to resign. BOY were they MAD, and even madder when they found out I was working for the competition in the next county! :)

"I might loose my job".... a statement that most any of us could make in this climate. THere are few of us who last 30 years with a company any more. :(

Well, it finally happened. I was terminated yesterday after a mixup on the schedule. I'm currently looking for work now. Thanks everyone for the support.
turn them into the dept of labor nothing to lose kick back draw unemployment, benefits .they did you dirty its sad how they treat workers

Alright. Its been a few days and I've cooled off and celebrated new years with some friends. Decided to just give some updates so everyone knows where everything was at.

On Tuesday I got myself up, showered, and dressed for work as usual. Jumped on the morning meeting we have every tuesday on my phone and great everyone. The owners don't even acknowledge me when I check in. Whatever, its just the unpaid meeting we have before the stores open. We are lambasted about our sales, etc. finished the meeting and finished getting dressed. Started out the door when my phone went off. It was one of my coworkers at another store, she asked me if I was at the store. Turns out I was 2 hrs late to open up the store because of a scheduling error. I decide to skip my stop for breakfast and head straight into the store. I pull in and my manager calls me and asks what is going on. I tell him I thought I was the closer today and run in and open the store. I get the store open and wait on a customer who was in the parking lot and then just go about the normal day.

Notice my email, and group texting app are non responsive about 2 pm. I go ahead and take the store keys off my key ring and just keep working. About 5:50 my store manager walks in and tells me he needs to see me in the back. Puts a piece of paper on the table, doesn't explain anything, just tells me to sign the line the says my name and that I'm terminated. I demand a copy, He gives it to me reluctantly and when I demand my last pay stub he hands me a receipt for a phone case and demands I leave the premises.

The next day I talk to the company accountant and find out when I'm getting my last check and demand my vacation time be cashed out. They comply but then threaten to dock about $200 of my check for "damages", supposedly a customer claimed I ripped them off and they threatened legal action unless the company reimbursed them. Of course I'm not told a name of the customer and I'm not an idiot, so I threatened to call a lawyer and to peruse a lawsuit if they charged me. They backed off and I got my last check and vacation pay.. They canceled my health insurance the day before yet still charged me for it on my check. I was told I'd get a final call from another manager to settle some other "damages", but that has yet to happen. I have a feeling I won't get that call since I already threatened legal action and I backed up all the threatening texts and emails they have sent me over the last year.

Now I'm looking for work and should have something shortly. I already contacted unemployment and I should be able to get my first check soon. My family is just happy I'm out of there and we have things worked out. I have 2 months worth of bills saved up in the checking before unemployment kicks in so I'm ready if the owners decide to contest it.

Its been a wild ride and I can honestly say that these last 4 days have been the least stressful days I've had in almost a year and a half. I can't believe I let myself get sucked into that place and allowed myself to get so stressed by them. Waiting to see if they try to bill me for anything, but I think I'll be alright.

Anyone else have an eventful New Years?
