[__ Prayer __] I need prayers for the up coming KIAROS Weekend!

Hello and how are all of you? I need some prayers for the up coming KAIROS Prison Ministry Weekend. I am asking for your prayers before or during the weekend, whatever is best for you ofcourse. If you agree to pray for the Residents and KAIROS team members I will be adding your username or if you prefer 1st name only to the prayer paper slip(I got like 30+ of em) and we will be making a paper chain out of the slips and showing them off to the residents at the prison during the KAIROS Weekend to show the Residents that people on the outside really do love and care for them and want them to come to Jesus and be saved! I do not ask this of you as a friend or Family member, but as a servant of The Lord Jesus Christ. Will YOU PRAY FOR US AND THEM?! God Bless everyone and your families. You are all in my prayers, hopefully I, KAIROS, and the lost souls of this world are in yours. I love you all very much! <3 =)

There are many who read the Prayer Requests but do not post ... be assured there are many who are/will be praying for you & everyone, not only today & this weekend, but also continue to do so in future.

Perhaps you could have 1 link to represent the world, as CFnet memberships span the world (not to mention individuals' private prayer chains) :)

Hi Nicholas and Air Dancer is correct. There have been twenty-nine reads of the prayer request and most that read prayer request do pray for them. I too read and prayed, though I din't have the time to respond to it at the time. Being affiliated with a prison ministry I do realize and appreciate the efforts of them going forth to preach to them. May God bless your efforts in Jesus' name.

Yes I know that, but I need to put peoples usernames or 1st names on prayer slips so we can make a huge prayer chain made out of the prayer slips. This impacts the prisoners more, because this is evidence for them to believe people are actually praying and care for them.

Debra and I are sponsoring a female prisoner in the texas state penal system. We took her in when she was homeless, living in the woods in an abandoned garbage truck, and after staying with us for a few months and both of us witnessing to her about The Lord she gave herself to Jesus and told us she had warrants out on her and wanted us to take her to the police station so she could turn herself in, serve her time, and get a fresh start. Her name is Jennifer and she is a pretty good girl, just got tangled up in meth use and wrecked her life. We send her a hundred dollars a month to buy her needs while in jail, and have her dog Charlie here with us till she gets out. I'm trying to save enough money to get her a car of some kind when she gets out in November so she can get a job. Prison ministry is a good thing and we will pray for you and those you witness to. did you visit me when I was sick and in prison? feed me when I was hungry? clothe me when I was naked? depart from me I never knew you. The Lord, Jesus Christ.

Thank you very much Sir, I really do appreciate it. I also enjoy the story. I'm glad the lord is using you in really good ways. I hope all is well and will be praying for Jennifers safety and hope the lord gets her a job in the future. I will be also praying for your you and your family. Thanks for your prayers and blessings Mr. Cid. I just wanted to take a moment to put a cautionary note in addendum to my above post. Jennifer is not the first person down on her luck that Debra and I have taken in. For many years we sponsored homeless women through The House of Hope Womens and Childrens shelter located in Longview, Texas. Over that period of time we took in several single women, women with children,, and one complete family, husband, wife and two children. Our goal is always to bring Christ into their lives and help them get back on their feet financially.

Our own children are grown so it is mostly just Debra and I here except when our grandchildren are staying with us, and we live way out in the country so the temptations of the city are not readily available to those we take in. We have had mixed results from these attempts from good to downright disastrous. Many of these homeless people are mentally ill or the devils own and can be a real danger to your family so use disgression in your endeavors.

I have 6 slips to put names on, does anyone else want their name on a slip? I would really appreciate it. And for those who prayed and did not leave their name, thank you and everyone else for their prayers. God bless you and your families. :colorsmile
