wondering,

This is my version of getting hip: HERE or HERE.

Better still, this is as hip as I really want to get.

That's why I'm serious about spending the rest of my life involved in,

The world will never be right without Gentleman Jim. When he sings the Gospel, every time he brings me to tears.

I betcha even Bill would have heard that one on the radio over in SE Asia. :thumb
When Bill wailed the Blues, he wailed but when sang C&W I sang like with all of my best throat in a baritone voice that was smooth except when performing Hank's Kaw-lijah or his Long Gone Lonesome blues and Your Cheatin' Heart, those must never be performed without a Nasal Sound,it would bring Hank out of his grave so angry he might kill.

How do you know he can't?
You heard him sing??
Personally I have never heard him sing but I have had people inform me that his style is much like that of John Cash and any musician will explain that John had a style that only God can impart but Johnny Cash could carry a tune if it were in a Burlap Sack.

Bill,

He has been on top of my list of favourite singers for a long time. Listening to him reminds me that This world is not my home and Where we'll never grow old.

We lost a treasure of a voice and personality to country music when Jim was killed in the small plane he piloted with his pianist, Dean Manuel on board in 1964. Jim was aged 40 and married to Mary.

This clip shows how Jim was not competent to fly the Beechcraft plane in which he was killed. Very sad ending to a wonderful voice and a sincere man.
