..for the first time in a long time, I graced the local Wal Mart with my presence and picked up some relatively healthful, wholesome food. I even got pre-sliced melons.

I'm not agoraphobic. I just have a terrible reputation. But, you know...whatever. Verna, my older, wiser, Pentecostal friend, told me to just do it, no matter what terrible experiences I've had before. So, I did. At 2:30 in the AM, lol.

One small step for me...towards a life :-)

Good post.

BTW, Have I ever posted this?

We would worry a lot less about what other people think about us if we only knew how seldom they do.

yeah...this town really isn't the ideal spot for me. At least my people have a very nice house, complete with a big yard (and little dogs).

Anyway...I realize I just gotta get over it. Basically, everybody thought I was "poor white trash," so they let me have it. Sometimes in public. Now, my people moved up a bit in the world and they're solidly behind me. Oh, yeah...and I became a different person. Right. Let's not forget that, right?

I'm becoming less of a shut in. I've wasted enough time and energy on worry and fear, sooooo....time to move on, bit by bit.

I take it you mean "Yeah" that it's a small town... In my opinion, that small town "get into everyone else's business" attitude is enough to drive anyone crazy! As much as I don't like big cities, the one thing that can be good at times is the anonymity. You can change your whole life around and start over fresh, then when you go out somewhere no one has any idea how you used to be!

I love the fact you're stepping out of your comfort zone. God is able to keep you in every storm; I know that to be truth from personal experience. Blessings in Christ Jesus. :)

Step by precious step, you're moving forward in the direction our Lord is guiding you, Christ_empowered ! At some point in future, you'll look back at this trip to WalMart and find yourself laughing because of the anxiety you had in the past.

Prayers continue for you, my friend, as well as for Verna & her family.
