If the HOLY SPIRIT were to be secretly withdrawn from us.

It seems 'churches' are less sensitive to the Holy Spirit. What some churches do is the usual methodical way of Sunday worship.

A preacher had said: If the Holy Spirit were to be secretly withdrawn from churches majority would not take cognizance of His absence. Why? Insensitivity towards the Spirit; methodology.

How can the Holy Spirit be "secretly withdrawn" from us?The Holy Spirit is God.

Does the Bible say that the Holy Spirit could be secretly withdrawn?You would have to give me scripture on that.Not just something someone speculates.Than could be dangerous.

He's speaking hypothetically.

He's saying "what if" the Holy Spirit was secretly withdrawn.
.

I wouldn't even want to entertain that idea as in the first place it could never happen as the Holy Spirit dwells in us individually and not in the actual four walled Church.

2Co 1:21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;
2Co 1:22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

This is true.

Wouldn't we suddenly not have a conscience if that happened? I think I would notice it pretty darn quick.

It also depends on our level of intimacy with the Spirit. Samson lost the Spirit. He was unaware of it until he tried his powers and all failed him...then he realised the Spirit was no longer with him. There are other examples in the bible. Saul etc

There is a conflicting issue: what happened to Christ when he said: who touched me? He said something has gone out of Him (reduction )

He felt the power flow out of Him. He was ultra sensitive to the Spirit, and walked with God, even as a man. The closer one walks with God, the more sensitive to spiritual happenings they are, the Holy Spirit gives 'words of knowledge' to ones heart (spirit). There is a 'knowing' that one receives and walks with. The womans faith activated it and allowed it to flow.
