If You Were Asked . . .

Bonairos

Member
If someone asked you to state in your own words what is the mission, purpose, or vision of ChristianForums.net, What would you say? (even if someone said what you were going to say, say it anyway)

I'm interested to hear from all users; especially the moderators and admin.

To provide answers for those who are seeking them, prayer for those who need it, discussion and learning. Also, to defend the Truth.

So basically fellowship? :D

I like my answer - it consumes less database space. :lol

I know you like your answer. And I know this is where I'm supposed to bow down and say, "Oh, so right you are, Nick!". Sorry, if I'm not a "yes-man". :p :lol

In order to demonstrate why my answer is superior, I'll ask: Is apologetics/defending the Truth considered "fellowship"?

As Michael Scott on "The Office" would say, BOOM! ROASTED!!! :rolling

I maintain fellowship! :D

Bow, my young padawan!

What "mission"? Can the mission of one man be seen in the efforts of many?

My thought is that yes, we are able to serve the one who taught how to become great in the Kingdom of Heaven: by service. Many here (self included) have appreciation for the oftentimes thankless job that is preformed by those who minister to us through their service and dedication on this forum.

And now, a word from our sponsor: "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another." and then within me an echo of a Promise: ... Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest."(Isa 32:15 KJV)

You aren't going to get straight answers fro those two above. :biglol Now you see what I have to put up with.

:toofunny

It's not a question that is objective. We all have our reasons for being here and our goals for the site will differ.

I'm here mostly for the fellowship, but this is a type of ministry as well. So, there will be a combination of both. We are not of any one specific denomination, so the help and advice one may get from here will vary, no doubt.

My reason for being here.....

To get my laugh of the day watching the antics of some of the mods and admins around here. :toofunny

Oh, and to make sure that all have heard that most important of news....Pepsi is superior to Coke and Diet Coke is sludge. :pepsi

:D Seriously, I come for the fellowship...and the study of the word. This place gets my nose into my bible more than any other venue, even church and we have an excellent Bible Class each week.

Also, to be ministered to and to minister to others, if I can in anyway.

Because of the rural area i live in this is my church. What a mix of God's kids!

Nick there ain't no way it is fellowship we cant have a potluck!

Wait we could have :morning :pepsi:popcorn

Lots of comedy today, mostly that is a good thing.
Vic's answer hits home with me because I have memory problems. I am always involved in one Bible study/reading plan or another but I have problems retaining what I read. (On a positive note, I can reread a good book.:)) I ask alot of questions here that must just seem like old news to the veterans as my questions largely go ignored. I spend time on a Harley forum and people there get tired fast of the same questions from new members. However this seems to me a far more serious subject. I did watch the baptism by water thread rage on and on, but also saw just as much effort go into smoking, seatbelts and Obama birth certificates.
I have no answer to your OP question as I am still new here.
Rereading my post now and it seems a little black.
But honestly all in all, I like it here.

Mr. Bonairos, don't forget to share your answer also!

comradeship, lol. i originally came here for political views ie which candidate was the best. etc. but i wandered into the science areas and the end times.

Ok, I have to say it...

That is priceless! :biglol
the newwer posters werent here when i first came here and i wasnt a mod. nick was a teen , and a mod. me and azlan 88 were debating him. i called him a communist. what was the name of that thread? the rise of commmunism.hmm i will look.

Looks like fellowship is "winning" ;)
Yup, fellowship has always been an underlying reason for being here. That is one of the reasons we are consistently asking members to be civil to one another.

*shameless plug*
