If you were to invite someone to your church...

Why would they continue to attend and become a member?

What attracts people to your church?
What programs and classes interest people the most?

What makes your church stand out above the rest of the churches in the neighborhood?

Are you asking if we invite a believer? All in Christ are already members
of the Church, the one body of Christ.
1 Cor 12:20 But now are they many members, yet but one body.
Eph 5:30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

OR
Have I requested a non-believer to join a fleshy membership such as we
read of the Church in Corinthians? 1 Cor 3:4 For while one saith, I am of
Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal? Today there are many
having names manifesting themselves to have the truth among you, but
promoting envying, and strife, and divisions; just sign on the dotted line huh?
:amen

I just come here. If I went to a church and I thought a friend could benefit, I would hope it'd be about quality people, welcoming environment, challenging teaching and programs, etc. Basically...the stuff people need to move through their Walk...fellowship with others, some disciple-ing, solid sermons, etc.

Yesterday there was men's group for breakfast. Then "picnic in the park" for my Sunday School class where kids are welcome (dinner time).

After being away for a month it was great to see and talk to them once again. These people become family. Family that you like. We are into what all of them have going on in their lives. Their triumphs and troubles. They also are into what we are doing and going through. When appropriate we help.

I've brought back from Israel some water from the Jordan River so when their kids get Baptized they can pour it into the Baptistry.

Sure, at times they get annoying and frustrating...but that's family. In a year from now we are likely going to move to the Raleigh Durham area... I'm going to miss them. But we will make new friends and add them to the group of people who we call friends.
This isn't like school where you are forced to get along with a group of people...we chose each other. We welcome newbies...Derek was exclaiming last night that we had a strange group in that once you get in you can't really ever leave. (He is a newbie) his biological family lives in New Jersey.

There is a militant orchestra for those who play musical instruments. Every thing from brass, woods, strings, and tympani. You have to practice and try hard... success? Well it will come.

Choir and music specials for those that sing...our church in history has contributed to the Baptist Hymnal. Our music is in there in your state.

Our singles program and youth group are alive and kicking once again. Full of young people going here and there doing and learning about Christian life.

So...yeah...why would anyone want to be a part of that?

My church has a different focus then most churches.
Its focus is not to entertain you, but rather to stimulate you to go and do something for God with the rest of your life.
We dont spend a lot of time teaching you to feel good about yourself, but rather we show you why you should love God with all your heart and do all you can for Him before you die and meet Him.
My church supports over 200 International missionaries, @$200 a week.....and many of which were called from my church, but not all.
There are over 150 brick and mortar "churches" that have Pastors in them, worldwide, who were called from my Church.
So, while the praise and worship is anointed and lively, its the preaching and the teaching you find there that is so Blood Atonement and Cross >centered< and so very Honoring to Jesus, that will cause you to become so inspired to invest your life in God's work.

There is a need for different 'types' of churches.. I like both examples listed here by Kidron and John... I am sure there are more... Seems to me God uses us where we fit and He does the fitting..

HUH? There is one body of Christ. 1 Cor 12:20 But now are they many members, yet but one body.
I reckon we could use the following scripture:
Act 20:28 . . . the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

I'm not sure the need we have of "different churches" such as the church of Satan; they can be Goggled, or even JW's & Mormons who believe they are the Church. Sorry Sis, I felt mischievous this morning; I slept good, and just couldn't resist. If I see you begin changing scripture to read "The Word was a god" I'll begin worrying and praying for you.

Goodness By using the word church in a Christian forum i had hoped the meaning was understood to be a Christ centered Church.. Just as we are one body we are not all the toes or elbows.. Some are the feet some the hands. Having Christ centered Churches that have a slightly different appeal to the different functions of the Body seems to right to me..

A good question as I suck at selling church.

He does.
My mistake.
But the "context" was right....:nod
That is one of the reasons

the TOS says

2.5: Do not "call out" other members by name who you have a disagreement with in the OP of a new thread or in a thread they are not already in. Members should not be put in the position of having to defend themselves in a discussion they have not yet chosen to participate in. The staff reserves the right to wave this term if it is deemed to be good-natured fun.
