Hi DoaWK1992

I believe WIP is leading you to the right way of thinking about hell. We can call the place where those who are not saved by the blood of Jesus, through faith, any name we like. If you're uncomfortable with the word hell, then call it the backyard for your own piece of mind. But no matter the name it's called, the Scriptures speak of the final place for those who don't receive God's promise of salvation an eternal place where one will feel utter torment for the duration of that eternity. You might refer to it as Central Receiving for those who end up lost to God.

God bless,
Ted

BTW, is your doubt really that the place can't exist, or that you feel in your humanness that it wouldn't be 'fair' if it exists?

God bless,
Ted

There is nothing wrong with doubts or questions, so long as you are willing to look for and at answers to them.
You doubt the existence of he'll !
Please read Colossians 1: 12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you[f] to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. 13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Ask yourself what does Paul mean by ' dominion of darkness '
.
Why do we need rescuing?
What is the ' Kingdon of Light ' ?
What does ' redemption ' mean and why do we need it ?

If there is no he'll can you make sense of this passage or even why Jesus died and Rose again?

Hell is more than a mistranslation, it's a premeditated deliberate assault on scripture to introduce the Teutonic pagan word.

Tar-ta-rus (tartarus) [[ Gr Tartaros ]] Greek Myth. 1. An infernal abyss below Hades, where Zeus hurls the rebel Titans, later a place of punishment for the demons and devils. (mentioned only once in the Bible)

Ha-des (hadez) [[Gr Haides ]] 1 Greek Myth. a. The home of the dead, beneath the earth. b The god of the underworld. 2. Bible: The state or resting place of the dead: name used in some modern translations of the New Testament

She-ol (sheol) [[Heb shaal , to dig]] A place in the depths of the earth conceived of as the dwelling of the dead. Note: In the KJV about half of scriptures are translated as hell, the other half as grave.

Gehenna: Mentioned twelve or thirteen times in the bible. Gehenna: Referring to the Valley of Hinnom, or Gehenna which is the city dump outside the walls of Jerusalem; it then was a place for broken potttery.

Topheth is believed to be a location in Jerusalem, in the Valley of Hinnom, where the Canaanites sacrificed children to the god Moloch by burning them alive.

Hey All,
Did you ever notice that most people want heaven to be real, but not hell? I believe hell, by whatever name you call it--outer darkness or Hades or eternal fire--is real, because Jesus said it was so. It is the final separation between God and the person.
I believe we have to stop looking back. For the believer, hell is no longer our concern. Look forward and learn about heaven. Amen?
May God bless,
Taz

The band styx take their name from a river in hades. And I believe a goddess also. The river is between the living and the dead worlds.. kinda like the band is a introduction to the world of darkness.
