but returning a month from the 31st! (to the 28th of june)

I am doing a months work of volunteer work on the Cayman Islands (around central america). I am helping breed an endangered species of Iguana to help boost there population in the wilderness after the introduction of foreign animals (cats, dogs) and the clear destruction of human population.

So you'll get a break from my constant questioning and occasional (and mostly accidental!) plagiarism. :D

I will be excavating nests, tracking and tagging wild iguanas, as well as feeding and nurturing ones at the facility. I will bring back pictures if everyone wants! so you have a few more days to tell me if you want to see a bit of my adventure when i return :)

EDIT: Here is what I will get to work with! :D

Hey, I am very much into God's creatures, so please bring back some pics, wish I was going.

.

I know you might bump into a snake here and there, but I hope you don't have a close encounter with one of those creatures that looks like your avatar.

:shocked! :crazy :o

That's not volunteer work. :)

Sorry, but I'm not buying it.

You have made several posts about evolution and faith in the Q&A forum , apologetics, and christianity and science forum. Alot of these were deliberately plagerized from around the web and out here as your own words.

When you spell "hear" for "here" and "presents" for "presence" in some posts and the other posts are written like a college professor, it's not too hard to figure out.

Not only is it against forum rules and dishonest, it's illegal. :nono

GojuBrian,

Let it go. What's done is done. We don't need 10 people pointing it out, again and again.

that's fine, you dont have to believe me, i actually expect most not to. actually the only one where I didnt have permission was from http://www.talkorigins.org. in which i did actually forget to credit (Using the same links in a PM to minnesota which was fully credited). In which i also re-credit once i realized. but once again, you can believe what you wish.

if you do notice any that i missed then please inform me :) thanks

Wow Evoin!!!!!!!!! That is awesome. You'll love the Cayman Islands....it was my decease hubby's and mine favorite place. Visit the turtle farm while you're there...it's awesome and may peek your interest since you volunteer perserving/rescueing endangered wildlife. Some of these sea tortuses shell are as big as dining room tables.....and they raise them from egg to adults and you get to interact with the process of their raising. My husband and I bought the freedom of two while we were there. Truely beautiful creatures.

I'll cover you in prayer if you don't mind, would like to see your pics when you return. I think it's a wonderful thing you're doing. If you get a chance do some scuba diving or snorkling, go visit Ethel [gaint eel] at the wall. Couple of taps on the anchor with some brain coral and she'll come out of the wall. Be prepared, she's big. Matter of fact....seeing her coming out of the reef, was my first time screaming under water. :lol The water is so clear [like swimming pool water] the fish are so brillant in color.....no fear of sharks! The island is surrounded by "The Wall" a reef that surrounds the entire island. We always flew in and my husband and I did all the airport signs, and a couple of resorts for the Cayman Islands.

But anyway Evoin, may your trip and your hearts desires be accomplished, and your time there be bless. Now try not to keep to a watch, the natives are very laid back, and a schedule no one goes by. So just go ahead and be laid back otherwise you'll spend your time being frustrated. It's not like the states where everything is on a schedule.... And the food is wonderful...try the christafen [vegetable] it's like a cooked turnip, and they do it with butter and onions, and the goats meat is good.

But stay away from homemade liquiors......they don't have to pass inspection for/in the stores. It may have changed since I went, but if not......stay away from them....look in the bottle and you'll see why. You'll find hair, rocks...you name it from home stills. Make sure name brand only that you're familar with. The Barbados Gold Rum was good as a nice little totty before bed. I don't drink anymore, but it helped me sleep when I was there.

And also please take plenty of sunscreen, you're closer to the equator there and you'll burn easy and quicker. I came home with almost 3rd degree sunburn/sun poisoning for 4 months, and [I don't burn] and wearing a moo moo. :lol My grandmother is full blooded Cherokee, and I fried like an egg.....first time in my life, and the last time believe me.

I hope in Christ you have fun Evoin, and God bless you for helping God's little creatures. Oh and one last thing, they have a town named hell, and of course I put a little scare in my friends when I mailed some post cards from there. The post office was a shack and a wooden box to drop your mail, but they got their post cards, and it was a good joke on them.

Thanks Carol that's really helpful!

I have a lot of scuba licenses so I want to do at least one dive (or snorkel) when i am there. I am volunteering 6 days a week so i am not sure if i will be able to see much outside of the facility. But i will try to do as many things as you suggested :) hah, i'm not much of a drinker, but i am a very good burner :D I'll take the 'screen with me :) Thanks for all the tips and well-wishes.

It's not a big deal. What's done is done. We make mistakes in life. We learn. We move on.

So, shut up already, and go to the Caymans. :)

Alrighty then Evo.

Have fun in the Camens! take lots of pictures!!

I will pray for safety, and send me some pics, I work with a former biologist. She worked in fishing farms.

Thanks for all the nice wishes! and direct wishes (minnesota...) hahaha.

For now, here's a bit of what im going to be working with!

Neat. Have fun, and be careful. I will pray for you as you travel.

Ok, i am all packed and heading out the door! thanks for the prayers and wishes my friends :D
