Hi there my new friend Brock. The enemy of your soul, Satan, will plant suggestions in your mind, day and night. His tactics are, if he, Satan, can suggest an evil thought in your mind, either by a dream at night or by day in a book or by the internet, if he can suggest that thought over and over without stopping, you might fall for it by abandoning Christ for money, fame, or a multitude of fleshly desires, he will win over Jesus, and capture you, and have a great boast before God.

Good morning Brock. I've been following your posts of questions with interest. I must say that I'm impressed with the quality of your questions. You will certainly grow supernaturally as you focus on growing spiritually in Christ Jesus. I see that a very good friend of mine is helping you with your questions. Eugene is tops in my book. He has a vast amount of study material that he has composed over the years. If you stick with him, you can't go wrong.

I'd like to add one thought to taking your cross and deny yourself. The cross implies "sacrificial death". The following Scripture is what I'm referring to....Romans 8:12 "So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh—
8:13 for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live."

So, to "Take up your cross" means to kill your flesh by saying no to the sins that your flesh desires to do.

Yeah but how do I stop it

The only way to stop the evil one, is to STUDY the New Testament every day. If you remember how Jesus defeated Satan when the Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness to be tempted, Jesus used the Scriptures every time Satan suggested that Jesus should fulfill the lust of His flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.

The more you know about New Testament warfare against the enemy of your soul (Satan) the more you will close the door to Satan's schemes to give you false information to deceive you.

I would not ask you to do something that I am not currently doing. I rise out of bed between 1am and 2am. I then spend 3 hours in God's Word, meditation on what I studied & prayer for those folk who are in need. I can't remember when I didn't do this. Brock my friend, spend as much time in gaining information about your Savior Jesus Christ, and ask the Holy Spirit to arm you with the knowledge of how Jesus was able to stay several steps ahead of Satan's deception.

Brother Brock, my sweet brother in the Lord Chopper through many fights with Satan & trials of life has learned that it is in learning to lean on Jesus for our victories. How do we do that? Faith and that comes from learning the word of God.

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, and that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (This is completely the word of God that Brother Chopper studies all these years)

An example of God’s help is in Exo 17:9 And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand. ( a note I have is that the rod was God's power delegated to Moses over the power of Satan).

Exo 17:10 So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
Exo 17:11 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.
Exo 17:16 For he said, Because the LORD hath sworn that the LORD will have war with Amalek (This is our flesh) from generation to generation.

There ya go!! I said before that my very godly friend Eugene has answers to just about any spiritual wondering. If you have questions about the spiritual realm, chances are, he has written something about it years ago. Eugene is one of the most humble servants that the Lord has for us to seek answers to what's on our minds.
