It is the devil trying to undermine your faith. Is there anyone you are able to spend time with?

You are never alone, talk to the Lord. He is right there with you. Don't go by what you FEEL. He said He will NEVER leave you or forsake you. :)

What Deborah13 said. Also, do you attend a local church?

I still haven't found a church to go. Well, to be honest I haven't looked up any lately. I'm so scared to go and search for a church alone, I need someone to help me.

My first suggestion when looking for a church is to look up some on the internet and read through their Statements of Faith, and other information to see how closely aligned your views in regard to the bible are to theirs. When you find some, and you will, just decide to attend one a week. The most important to look for in a church is if it is a bible believing church and use it as the ultimate source for their theology and doctrines. From there you can look at things like, how you connect with the members who regularly attend.

When you visit be sure to make a point to introduce yourself to one of the elders or the pastor. Don't be timid, just do it. This is your spiritual walk you are talking about here. And you need wise, biblical counsel to make sure you are on the right path. Of course you are moving in the right direction just being on this site, as there are a number of sound and wise Christians you can look to for advice.

Also, you should never feel alone, as Deborah mentioned, as God is always with you, and you can always come to these forums as there is always someone on here since the membership spans the entire globe.

Take Knoticals advice. One other thing besides good elders and pastor like Knotical said people you feel comfortable with, is to look for one that has a good youth program, other believers your own age and slightly older to make Christian friends.

Air, Knotical has a good point that Satan may be attacking you. I'm wondering, have you been involved with anything to do with the occult? Maybe something that you've left since becoming a Christian and now Stan is trying to get you back?

I get scared in a different way. I think maybe cause im new to all this and sometimes i dont know if i say the right or wrong things on faith. It can be quite dangerous and every time i mention something to do with faith i get a panic attack. Sometimes i even think i should just forget everything and carry on as i am. I just cant trust anyone.

The best solution for any insecurity in regard to your understanding of what God's will is for you, and what the true doctrines of the bible are is to keep studying it. Prior to picking it up you should pray that He reveal to you His good will. Once you are well acquainted with what the bible teaches, and ask that the Holy Spirit keep you pointed in the right direction, you will be confident in your faith.

Christianity is a journey, not a destination. The destination we are heading toward is eternal life with Christ in Heaven, until we leave this earth we are to persevere.

Trust that God finds you where you are in life, and will guide you. Nothing you can do will remove you from His love if you trust Him, He will pour out His grace on you. People far more scared than you have found peace by falling to their knees and just saying "Jesus save me. I can't do it by myself."

One thing I have learned through my own experiences is that FAITH in itself is an extreemly spiritually powerful thing, It creates a substance to things that are spiritual. it does not matter if your faith is in something negative or positive, it does not matter if what you place your faith in is true or false if you believe it it becomes a reality to you. That is the defenition of deceive which is to believe a lie or to think something is true that is not. The problem with our physical condition is that there is something spiritual about us. the way we( think reason, analyze, etc) and because we are composed of flesh and blood but at the same time posses a conscious (half physical and half spiritual) so to speak, we are subject spiritual influence.

with that much being said I feel like the bible is very clear about the spiritual warfare that is being waged over our salvation and personal position with God. Paul suggests in 2Cor 10:4 that our tools for protection- (WEAPONS) do not consist of anything physical but instead are dependent on spiritual things, and our battle field also consists of spiritual things Eph 6:12. I allways think about 2Ki 6:17 where God revealed to Elishas' servent the UNSEEN warriors of God which were there in firery chariots. We are encouraged to put on our armour of God Eph 6:13. The whole armor of God but above all As Paul states the SHIELD OF FAITH., that we could withstand the firey darts of satan. The significance of our faith is tremendous it what we believe it is the conscious thing that we empower. If you believe it it becomes truth to you.

I have struggled with fear and spiritual defeat at an early age, in my early teens, after a few bouts with the wiji board and some experimenting/ tampering with ocultic things I had no Idea what I was getting myself into. I realized quickly that I was in way over my head and that I felt like something was trying to channel me. It was a living horror. The only thing that would bring me comfort at night was the autable spoken conversation with Jesus Christ mainly repenting out loud over and over under my breath until I was exhausted from lack of sleep so that I could finally get some rest I realized after several months that the only way for me to defend my mental sanity was to believe that Jesus could and would forgive me for being ignorant. And it did take some time but I learned how believe myself into the the safety of the Blood of Jesus Christ.

It is something that you have to believe. your fears are something that your faith is going to have to protect you from. Jesus Christ said that if you had the faith of a small seed you could remove mountains. those mountains that he talked about i believe can be and are undoubtedly spiritual mountains you can not see them with your eyes but if you fear them they have substance. INVEST. Invest more faith into your protection that into your fears. get dedicated to believing that your safety lies in the arms of your saviour and your faith will set you free.

You have to make your comfort and safety a reality by believing it, when you have faith in it or believe in it you establish substance, a spiritual substance that will remove any stronghold hold satan has established in your spirit. BUT YOU CANNOT DO IT WITHOUT THE HELP AND APPROVAL OF JESUS!!!

I think that mostly I'm scared because I feel like I'm alone. I need Christian friends and I wish I had a girlfriend that was a Christian. I have an anxiety disorder that might be a problem too. I believe in Jesus Christ.

considering the generation for which you are apart of, you probably are scared for good reason, I don't believe to many people from younger generations will be able to seperate their love for the world and the things in the world, the whole world is geared to make your generation worldly, you are raised in schools that are geared to destroy faith in God, everything about this world is formated that you become a selfcentered all about you person, who essentially is a god of themselves, the bible refers to a time period called "the great falling away" I believe you are in this time period

2 Tim 1:7 exercise the power of the holy spirit to take every thought captive and take revenge on the disobedience that is influencing your thoughts and read your bible 2 corinthians 10:3 , 4, 5, and 6 talk to Jesus address him personaly in your prayers with tears and fasting. Make some life changing decisions that you need to improve your heart. let him know that you need his help do it in your secret place do it in Jesus name and God will here you answer you and reveal himself to you

I have W.P.W. it is a heart condition that used to give me anxiety attacks I have struggled with it my whole life the companionship of Jesus has allways been the only thing that would give me comfort with my anxiety. I actually would feel freaked out for pretty much no reason and I can remember thinking in my youth that there was something wrong with me. I have learned over the years how to deal with it but I could never have done it without Gods help

I have changed my life since I've become a born again Christian. I used to abuse alcohol every weekend and get drunk, I used to do stuff I don't really want to think about anymore. Let's say I lived Rock N' Roll life in the early days. I've made changes, I've become new person with new goals. I think the reason I'm feeling lonely/scared is because I don't really have anyone to talk about Christianity, well of course here in forums but I need a friend to talk face to face. I have to find a new church to go because I can't go anymore the old one.

Hey man you said it..... if you need and hunger for fellowship you should make that your number one #1 priority remember not to forsake the assembly. just keep praying for Gods help to find companionship stay with it and as long as you look for it and believe that God does intend for you to find some company, then you will find it but you have to look for it. if your not looking for it then it might be staring you in the face. Look up man pick yourself up and take revenge on the negative influence (2cor 10:6). Get serious about it and you will be successful. Have some faith in yourself along with Christ.

I have learned that God sometimes doesnt want you to depend on entirely on him but he expects that you should mature enough to make some positive choices and do the right thing the more you excersise this the more you will fail ( math 11:19 )wisdom is approved by all her children, and he will allways pick you back up, he will never let you take on more than you handle I think God might eager to see you become stronger and there for you are struggling at the moment This is a quote from a christian rock song that I like (the pressure makes us stronger the struggle makes us hunger and the hard lessons make the difference and the difference makes it worth it ){band. FIRE FLIGHT - song. This is for those who wait} as the pressure does teach us to endure, the struggle does make us hunger for the need to be forgiven ourselves, the hard lessons make us wiser, and the wisdom we receive is Christ as boasted about in the whole 8th chapter of Prov {Prov8}

I am going to say something different. That does not at all mean that all the prior posts aren't good advice. I want to tell you it's all right to be scared. You need to go into it to see it is not real. Weep in it until you sleep. When you wake please note that nothing bad happened. You will gain strength night by night and you will gain control over this fear. Again, go into it, don't fight it.
