In Search For The Best Bible Cell Phone Software

Lewis

Member
I am looking for more Bible cell phone software to put on my Blackberry Bold 9700.
I have used Olive tree, and it is a very good program, and I have used some others before which I can't remember the names. But there is nothing like having a the Bible with your choice of versions or having multiple versions on your cell phones. You can even have the Strong's Concordance on your cell phones, and some of these programs are very small, from 1 to 2 MB and some a little more, but the more memory you have the better. I posted this here because more people come here than they do in the Tech forums. So I am trying to see who knows of a good program that they use, we already know that Olive Tree, is one of the best but there are many others out there, that somebody might know about. So if you know of a program please post it. And I will continue to search in Google.

Nick Go Bible is one
Go Bible

And at Olive Tree you can download a few free versions of the Bible, and other Biblical Bible stuff. Some of these programs you can do all kinds of stuff with them including highlighting, bookmarking, storing and quick reference, and quick memory to go back to where you left off and Jesus words in red. And they come in all versions. Some versions you can find free and others you can't I want to add the Amplified Bible, but I am going have to pay for it.

This is a great thread, Lewis. But I'd like to find a free NIV version for the blackberry. The free ones you pointed to are for KJV only. When I have time, I'm going to use your last link to search. I've done it before and ran into roadblocks.

Lewis, the "Go Bible" ap looks like there is some limited free software, but ultimately, you end up paying for the real deal. Still looking for a full free NIV version compatible with the Blackberry Curve. Don't feel like you have to go out of your way to find it for me, though I appreciate your interest. I'll find one eventually! :)

Hey Mike & Nick I downloaded a great one. It is called YouVersion, and it has ASV, Amp, CEV, ESV, GWT, GNT, HCS, NIV, NASB, NCV, NET, NKJV, NLT,TNIV,TM,WEB, and some more versions and guess what, it is free. A truly great find.

Thanks Nick. Hey Mike also I have used about 5 GPS programs on my 8310 Curve when I had it. and now on my Blackberry Bold 9700, but I have found a very good turn by turn voice GPS and it is free, because most of the others are not free anymore, there are about 5 free ones out there, but this is the best one, and more easy to use than all of them. it is called Waze.
Waze: Way to go

*sigh* One of these days I'll join y'all in the 21st century. We're not even set up for texting.

Of course, after staying the weekend with my gf, and observing her fam...I'm not all that sure being a "text-free" technically arrested family is all that bad of a thing. :lol

Anytime dudes. Mike did you try the GPS ?

No, I didn't. I have a Garmin that sits on my dash board. Doing some of my work on the road, this is essential. I couldn't live without it. Well, I could, but I don't want to go back to printing Mapquest Maps. :lol I have a GPS ap on my phone that I never use.

There's probably a generational gap thing going on, but I don't get the texting thing. We have it, and I do it, but I think it's overrated. :gah

Nick, I text all the time on my phone and I have all the browsers on it including Opera and Bolt, I also have SPB TV with more than 100 stations, I can watch cowboy movies TBN and about 40 channels from other countries, one or 2 of your channels might be on there Nick, there is nothing like watching TV when you are in a waiting room somewhere.

"What do you mean, I can't text you my resume?"
"I texted my tax return! Why is the IRS calling me? :shrug" (just pretend you're American for a moment... but don't get too used to it. :D)

epic fail
