When a golfer tees off, someone in the crowd shouts, "In the hole!" and the ball goes in the hole, I think the guy in the crowd should be given $1000. If the ball doesn't go in the hole, I think the guy in the crowd should be wrestled to the ground and dragged off the course.

So if I go to a jeweler's and call out 'in the hole' every time the jeweler shoots studs into people's earlobes, do I get lots of money for saying it...?
 
This is definitely a bothersome trend. These people are just trying to get their voices on the TV broadcast. :gah I don't want to encourage gambling, but I'm in favor of half your OP. They get $1000 if the ball goes in, but the MUST pay $1000 if it doesn't. That will shut 'em up, except when they're within 6 feet of the hole on the green. Then, everyone will be yelling it, and you won't be able to hear any one person. :)
 
I hope you all have the tournament on. Looks like it's going to have an exciting finish.
