I figured that since there are usually a lot of interesting news stories that I read that I find don't really belong into a specific category, I figured that I would just collect all of the ones that I find interesting and put them in here. The first news story of the day is police in Marlboro Ohio (I have no idea where that is lol) are encouraging parents and grandparents that are gun owners to lock up their weapons and are handing out free gun locks to ensure that happens.

Also in today's news Christian Evangelist Reverend Billy Graham was honored today by President Trump, House Speaker Paul Ryan, and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Thirdly a massive sixteen foot three thousand pound great shark was caught off of Hilton Head Island last week, why the news is just getting out now I really don't know but here is the article for it anyway.

Here's another one. A high school teacher fired a gun at school. Students panicked, and ran out of the school in chaos. One of his students posted:

...my favorite teacher at Dalton high school just blockaded his door and proceeded to shoot. We had to run out The back of the school in the rain. Students were being trampled and screaming. I dare you to tell me arming teachers will make us safe.

Here's a story about the navy's new Zumwalt class destroyer. They are thinking about putting nukes on it, to deter Russia and China from attacking us. Its much different from previous models.

Alright sorry for the delay I was busy with the new Saint Patrick's Day thread today lol anyway, here is today's news report. *queues the music and taps pad of paper on the desk and grows a very serious expression*



First of all in today's news it isn't a very happy story. A student commits suicide by shooting himself in the school's bathroom. Here's more on the story;

Also in today's news there was a report of a girl being abducted that I read but forgot to post, but apparently it's just as well since it is now getting out that that story was fabricated.

Third of all in today's news it appears that a fan was banned from Quicken Loan's Arena for racial taunting towards the Cavalier's basketball team. Here's more on that story.

And fourth and finally we can end today's news segment on a happy note. A dog that was originally meant to be slaughtered was rescued and is now currently up for adoption.

*clears throat* Alright, I'm trying to be on two forums at once here so let me try this again. In today's news we are in the middle of a winter storm warning in the state of Ohio and having to deal with power outages, parking bans, and emergencies everywhere. I don't know where all of you live but I can say one thing, I sure hope that it isn't this bad.

In other news today tragedy strikes when an eight year old boy drowns. That's really sad I'm sending my thoughts and prayers towards his family and friends.

China again warns that they will go to war over Taiwan. The warning was prompted by formally opening diplomatic relations with Taiwan, which were closed in 1979.

...the official China Daily newspaper saying passage of the act would encourage Tsai in pursuing formal independence, something Beijing says it will respond to with a military attack.

China went to war with the US when US troops crossed the Yalu, which China warned would happen. China supplied North Vietnam with weapons when the US was at war with them. China fought a war with Russia and Vietnam over their borders. China usually keeps their word, when they threaten to go to war over a border issue.

Hopefully they will find a cure.

I thought that they already did,.. or maybe they are just still in the process of finding one. If that's the case I really hope they do too. My grandfather (Pawpaw) passed away from cancer when I was only a child. (nine years old) Thankfully he knew Jesus and he's been in Heaven with Him for the last nineteen years but it was still incredibly hard on me and nobody deserves to die like that.
