It started with the rappers, I think. Then just got lower and lower. Pants limbo, how low can you wear them without falling on your face.

I've seen a couple of young men fall down when their pants slid. I've also seen young men who couldn't run because of their pants. They stumble going up or down staircases.
Not fun.
