Is adoption a sin?

How could it be? It's essentially Biblical principles in action: caring for the needs of someone else, providing love and stability to someone who would otherwise have none.
There are millions of orphaned and homeless children.


There are lots of verses that talk about God taking care of orphans, James 1:27 is one of them. And as i was writing this God reminded me of King David taking in Jonathans crippled son, and treating him like family.
