But it's so much harder to accept those reasons when you've been operating under the false impression that your sexual fulfillment will be unhindered by the most powerful and obvious hindrance to that fulfillment--pregnancy. It's like getting a life-time pass to the pool...then not being able to use it because someone peed in it.So any reason someone has to not want to have sex on a particular day is valid. No matter if it's a headache, stress, lack of libido or risk of pregnancy.
Somehow our kids decided they were all mistakes. Our oldest was purposely planned. We explained to the rest that we did not purposely bring them into the world, but took responsibility for our actions and that that might happen...and welcomed it when it did.Yeah a friend of mine prevented both her sons with natural family planning. She's very happy she's got them though. But she's on the pill now.
It truly is a blessing in my life. I do feel privileged and special to have had four kids, and have a healthy sense of pride about having that blessing from God in my life. I really do. It ain't been easy, but I have no regrets at all.Yeah, kids are awesome and you are a lucky guy to be blessed with so many kids!
...now you tell me...You know the dangerous days to have sex are the 5-7 days BEFORE the ovulation, right? ;)
I agree, it is exciting.Well it's not a totally save method, but it's the method I will prefere to use if I ever get married. I guess the thought that we might create new life would make it a thousand times more exiting anyway. :yes
Yeah, why do we always assume big families weren't planned? Lol.Of course big families can be planned just as big as they are.
I'm on board with this. It's how I see it, too.But from what I heard my great-grand parents lived in rough times economically. They were working class people and I really can't imagine they planned to have 11 kids. Or maybe I lack imagination... :dunno But I'd rather think they had sex and didn't worry much.
Unwanted pregnancies just happened in pre-pill days. People knew what could happen and ignored it or took the risk.
Probably true on the first point...not so sure on the second point, lol. Statistics are one out of two men in the church view pornography. Slightly higher for pastors. I wish I was kidding. It's not like men in those days were totally self disciplined and today's males are either sex addicted monsters, or frustrated because their wife won't let them have it.
