You might be surprised my friend.every form of greed is sin also. it is much much more common than gluttony. (I think).

1 Corinthians 5:11
But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.

the english in this case is basically correct. you read it right. the Scripture says that the church should put out the wicked ones from their midst. it is simple to read and to understand, but churches that want more members instead of God's blessing and holiness let almost anyone stay.
not too many churches obey God's Word in this, as far as I know.
1 Corinthians 5:13
Amplified Bible (AMP)
13 God alone sits in judgment on those who are outside. Drive out that wicked one from among you [expel him from your church].
I think we are getting off the OP.Greed is a whole different thread. And just how does one determine if a person is greedy. Most people do not go around announcing that they are greedy. I don't think that is a put out of church sin. That seems to be resevered for things like adultery and other sin like this, violence, that type of thing.
Or are you referring to the OP, that is about gluttony. Should we put fat people out of the church?

Do you think that God does not love fat people? So should fat people be put out of the church?

There are some who believe that overweight people are in a constant state of sin because of their weight. They associate gluttony with being overweight .
I don't think they were saying that Jesus was greedy.
