Is His Grace truly sufficient for us...

...to be holy as He is holy?

Yes!!
He has said we must be holy because He is holy.
We are a temple that must be set aside for Him!
Would He command something and then make it impossible by not giving us the grace to accomplish it?

However, He has also given us some warnings....and even to keep safe from these thnigs He has warned us of requires His grace and Spirit in us.
Accepting the doctrines of men and defending them to the throwing away of some of what He has said to make them work, will keep us from growing in grace.
Beware the leaven of men is a warning that we all think we heed when really, all of us are infected with some of it.

If I hear something enough times, I begin to believe it must be true until I often find verses that cannot fit with it. I have to choose to reject it if it wars with what God has said in another place.

To use your own wise words from another thread, Adullam, it is possible to FRUSTRATE the grace of God and so to hinder it's work in us.

Excellent and worth pondering.

I suppose anything that is His (truly His) would be sufficient for me (in whatever He calls me to). His grace included.

Be blessed, Stay blessed, and Be Bold!

Sure, if we are of His elect. In fact, all for whom He offered Himself for are legally before God perfected forever. Heb 10:14

14For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

My understanding of Heb.10:14 is that the context of the chapter discusses the superiority of Christ's sacrifice against the sacrifices of the OT of which the "blood of bulls and of the goats" was IMPOSSIBLE to take away sins, Heb.10:4. The Hebrew writer exploits the fact that Jesus needed only ONE offering to accomplish everything that thousands of offerings under the law could not do, namely, provide remission of sins. It was HIS sacrifice that was perfect "for ever.''

If I define Holy as pure. Since darkness does not comprehend light, that is why to one who is pure of heart all things are pure, while to the impure of heart nothing is pure. His grace has to be sufficient because God is pure of heart.

Thats True !

Both conclusions are True. The once and for all sacrifice or Death of Christ perfected THEM forever that are sanctified.

Heb 10:14

14For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

His sacrifice is not the Them. The Them are those on behalf the sacrifice was made, namely God's New Covenant People, The New Covenant Israel !

Are you suggesting Heb.10:14 teaches "eternal security" or otherwise known as "once saved, always saved" etc.?
