Is it a sin to drive 68mph in a 65 zone ?

Depends. If it is done purposefully, then yes. However, speedometers can be out by that much so you might be doing 65 even though you think are you doing 68, or you might be doing 68 when you think you are doing 65.

There are so many other sins that we commit from the time we wake up to the time we sleep that driving 3 miles over the limit is the least of our worries. I would think that give or take 5 miles in either direction is a safe bet, as your first priority would be keeping up with the flow of traffic and not obsessing over small increments of speed that sometimes happen naturally based on the flow of traffic. :gah
