Dear thesaintman, I can only speculate the measure of the following scriptures, but I do believe even we in our resurrected glorified bodies will be whole in heaven. I hope they are of comfort to you.

Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Rev 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

I remember when hard drives for computers were being developed. My father worked on prototype production. (How to fast quantity build these drives)

We are still using stuff that was invented in the 70's.

No one knew what these products were good for. They just developed them. Though today your cell phone has a hard drive that was developed almost 40 years ago.

Wisdom is far superior to knowledge.

HP never made the billions from their inventions...they practically gave them away...they went from top of the line products for professionals to consumer products that they don't even make any longer... Bad management does that.

I can pay little to nothing for knowledge... Wisdom can't be purchased at any price.

Yes it is possible for God to increase our intelligence. First of all, nothing is impossible for God. Lets look at Solomon as an example. Before we do that, what does Webster have for a definition of intelligence. a (1) : the ability to learn or understand or to deal with new or trying situations : reason; also : the skilled use of reason (2) : the ability to apply knowledge to manipulate one's environment or to think abstractly as measured by objective criteria (as tests)

Ok, Solomon. In 2 Chronicles 1:10, God asked Solomon, "Ask what I shall give you." Solomon's response (which I love and have repeated his statement to God a number of times whenever I got called to pastor another Church) was "Give me now wisdom and knowledge." Notice God's response in verse 11. "God said to Solomon, "wisdom and knowledge are granted to you."

Lets look close at this event. You asked "Is it possible for God to increase our intelligence?" Webster says, "the ability to learn or understand." "Funk & Wagnalls" gives the definition of intelligence as, The quality of knowledge; ability to exercise the higher mental functions. Also, information acquired or communicated. Please notice that God told Solomon that wisdom and knowledge "are granted to you." That tells me the answer to your question is yes.

It is my opinion, the preceding information is adequate to show that God can, and does, increase one's intelligence. Thanks for the question.

You already have two fine answers and I'll only add that our knowledge in this world is increasing at a rate of better than double every 90 days right now and if you were as old as I am, 71 in a few days, it would floor you how, intentionally, stupid people can be. It is not intelligence we need, it is Wisdom and 99% of the world refuses wisdom.

I think so. Chopper and Eugene gave you good Scriptures. Plus...even if IQ doesn't go up, wisdom and ability to apply intelligence could (likely) improve considerably. Personal example...I had a "low-average" IQ several years ago. I'm guessing that means somewhere below 100, like 95 or so. More importantly, I was obviously brain damaged. I got saved 3 years ago. Now, not only is my IQ higher...more importantly, I'm completely different, I'm more teach-able + reach-able, and I find that I can apply my intelligence much, much better this time around.

I think about and pray about this verse fairly often : 1 Corinthians 1:27. I think you'll find some wisdom and comfort in it, too.

Maybe not more intelligent but, if you follow the teaching of the Bible, you will be wiser.
