Is it possible that the devil answers our prayers instead of God?

Having watched this YouTube video on praying in tongues, this is why I believe the possibility of Satan and his hosts hearing our prayers and how praying in tongues is so important with God:

Some years ago, my Dad had a partner he was with for some time and I had felt grieved and uncomfortable when my Dad was saying things, which I had found rather rude, to her. With this in mind, I earnestly prayed to God about this situation and the next thing I knew, I learnt that Dad had split up with his partner.

This had kind of scared me and I felt responsible for this split up, because of my discomfort with what my Dad was doing to her and it was not love. At this stage, I did not believe that God would change this situation around. I was unsure if God actually intervened and changed the circumstances, or whether this was entirely Satan's doing.

I just feel responsible for this, because his partner is a lovely lady and I knew she must have felt deeply hurt by my Dad's decision to split up. I felt like this was my fault and that I had triggered this.

What are your thoughts on this?

I would think that when we pray aloud Satan and his demons could be present. Or even when we openly discuss with each other the desires of our hearts. The Jim Jones suicide/massacre comes to mind. How many thought he was the answer to prayers.
your giving the devil to much credit . i pray aloud %90 of the time
The Jim Jones suicide/massacre
came through deception my self i fail to see how anyone could follow someone that would lead them to drinking poison is beyond me . it takes a blinding by the god of this world / although the bible does talk about strong delusions that they would believe a lie 2 Thessalonians 2:11 . but satan taking over our prayers when praying out loud i say NO

I have found that when I come across situations I feel are uncertain, I just pray the Lord's Will be done. My own understanding often falls short.

i dont pray in tongues not because i dont believe in tongues its a gift never gave to me... i know plenty prayer warriors who dont use tongues . personally i fail to see how this keeps satan away from our prayers
I feels tongues allows our spirit to talk directly to God whenever I just can't find the words. Any prayer, tongues or not, are good when we pray earnestly from the heart.

I say never underestimate the enemy. In that, I mean don't underestimate his intense hatred for the saints. And with that said, we know we have victory if we abide in the Lord and He in us. I personally pray for wisdom/discernment to avoid any snares laid before me. I've had some doozies laid before me in the name of money. People work for Satan just like we work for the Lord. The wrong agents of sin hear your prayer............

that is up to you.. i talk to god in my own language and no i am not in the least bit concerned satan will pick them up and answer /our biggest enemy is us look in the mirror . our Flesh is the problem if we fall into temptation ..did the devil make us or did we do it on our own
1 Corinthians 10:13 [Full Chapter]
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
James 1:12-14 King James Version (KJV)
12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

yes i have my battles the good news is we can approach the throne of Grace 24/7 unlimited times.. ask for mercy and help in time of need.

dont know about you but i have to do this a lot. i have a royal telephone and i use it a lot

I just want to make clear...I do NOT view tongues as some secret code to prevent Satan from hearing my prayer. I purely view tongues as a way for my spirit to talk to God when I am at a loss for words to say what only my aching heart knows but my puny brain seems unable to articulate.

It depends on the situation and the person involved. And alcoholic might pray for another drink and Satan might make sure he gets one. It's only when you address God by name that you can be sure. In AA we have what we call an alcoholic prayer which is "God help me." This prayer will only go to God. So don't pray randomly for what you want pray for God's will for you and the power to carry that out.
