I was gonna include the Agnes Moorehead episode too!handy said:My gosh, all beef hot dogs and Twilight Zone episodes. I LOVE this forum!!!!!!!! I used to eat Nathans when I was back east. Now it's Oscar Meyer all beef,(will NOT eat a hot dog that isn't all beef) preferably grilled, eaten in front of the telly watching Agnes Moorehead beat off these tiny little Alien dudes that have landed on her deserted farmhouse....

The Rabbi's (supposedly) monitor that the meat is Kosher, the blood is removed, and is processed correctly. If we are talking about other hot dogs that contain pig's snouts or Gorilla meat, yeah, I guess there can be a concern, even if precooked.
I like Hebrew National, I guess they're kosher! Right now I'm trying to focus more on fruits & veggies anyhow. Good advice Tim!

:shocked! : wow and the feds using that reasoning may be in total control of our health care!wiLLiam said:cooked or not cooked it doesn't really increase the safety of this food
I work in a food processing plant. An accident happened one day and unwanted chemical got into the cheese. It was tested and found too high for human consumption. It was sent to another plant so it could be part of hot dogs with cheese in the center.
I asked a supervisor seriously how could they do this? His response was it would be toxic on a pizza because of the amount of cheese a person would eat but because the regulators have established that people only eat one to two hot dogs occasionally the toxicity were acceptable.
I have never seen the inside of a hot dog factory I just know what we sent them. They may have in turn rejected the cheese. All I know is that this passed through health inspectors and was acceptable.
