Is Jesus God?

that sounds like a question for a moderator...

To me, it is obvious and a given that Jesus is God based on scripture

So why is it not allowed for someone to present his evidence that a certain scripture disagrees with such an obvious fact? If it so easily disproved, shouldn't it be allowed to be presented and then strongly disproved by most members here??

2.1: This is a Christian site, therefore, any attempt to put down Christianity (or declare that it is false) and the basic tenets of our Faith will be considered a hostile act.

Statement of Faith:
We believe that the Bible is inspired by God in its entirety, and is without error in the original autographs, a complete and final written revelation from God.

We believe that there is only one God, who is eternal and immutable, and manifests Himself in three distinct Persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the promised Messiah, born of a virgin, totally without sin, God in human flesh, the One Who died on the cross for our sins, was buried, rose again from the dead on the third day, and ascended to the right hand of the Father in heaven, where He now intercedes for us who believe in Him.

TB,
You are being rude and you are really pushing the limit. Having been a moderator before I can tell you that all rules are there for good reasons, placed there by the Admin of that forum for the mods to enforce. If you were to ask the mods here they would be able to explain to you that I have had a month long Coffee Break because I broke a rule. I do not and I did not bow my back up at them, I had it coming because the rules are there to be obeyed.

There is no such thing as a free web site, making you a guest of at least one person here and likely a few. You, really should be more thankful and just obey the rules or go pay 8 to 20 dollars for a web name and then pay the monthly hosting fee. then you can run your site your way.

Hoping you stick around but you need to cool it.

In the Holy Bible, Hebrews 1:5-9 " 5 For to which of the angels did God ever say,
“You are my Son;
today I have become your Father”?
Or again,
“I will be his Father,
and he will be my Son”?
6 And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says,
“Let all God’s angels worship him.”
7 In speaking of the angels he says,
“He makes his angels spirits,
and his servants flames of fire.”
8 But about the Son he says,
“Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever;
a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.
9 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;
therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions
by anointing you with the oil of joy

He is aslo called Emmanuel "God with us"

When he emptied himself to become a man he wass howing us how to worship him in the spirit .He humbled himself and relinquished his title of God for our sake. In the OT it says "iam God and i will not share my glory with anyone else", but as time goe son we see how Jesus was the one who is to receive all the glory and be the name above every other name. SO they are one, Jesus is God and God is Jesus

*Like* :yes
Way to come right to the point sister. That is indeed a good answer. :clap

For me, the very foundation of the Christian experience is understanding that Jesus is God incarnate. To cut to the chase and put it in common terms, no human being can say, "Well, God, it's easy for you to be holy, you don't know what it's like to actually experience human suffering and pain." He does know, because He chose to come down to earth in the form of a man, and undergo the most severe torture and death as any man has ever experienced. And He did this not to "prove" anything, which He doesn't need to do, but because He loves us so much.

And still there are people who are not Christians, who still do not understand and appreciate the most magnanimous gesture in mankind's history. Hard to believe.

Agreed brother. I have heard some try to make the case, that God came down to die on the cross to justify Himself to some who question His actions. Of course that is tripe because, as you say, it is out of Love for us that He did this.

Yes he is God.
What composes the trinity? The father, the son, the holy ghost - all 3 are one

Jesus as a man said he and the father are one. John 10:30 "I and my Father are one."

There is a bible verse that says the holy spirit is the spirit of Jesus but I can't remember it.

Jesus was never created, and has always existed. Infinity

John 17:20, 21, KJV:

20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
