The name judas means= builder. The offspring of Cain were kenites and builders. Genesis 4:17. And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare enoch: and he builds a city, and called the name of the city after the name of his son enoch. Archeology has found a city beneath the brick platform on which Nipur, in south babylonia, was built. Genesis 15:18. In the same day the Lord made a covenant with abraham, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river Euphrates: 15:19. The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadomonites. God made covenant with abraham, and gave land of Palestine to him, and his seed. Note: the kenites were already in Palestine. Judas Iscariot was a man of Kerioth from the tribe of Dan being a Kenite. It was the chief priest and the elders that met in secret in the house of Caiaphas who was the high priest who plotted Jesus death, Matthew 26:1-4, 14-16.

Gen 49:16 Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel.
Gen 49:17 Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.

To keep it twelve tribes since Dan and Ephraim are not mentioned in vs. 4-8 the tribe of Joseph appears twice, once under his own name and once under the name of his son Issachar/Manasseh. Judah is mentioned first as Messiah was to come from the lineage of David.
