Is Mechanical Instrumentation in Worship Wrong??

I think that's an extremely good question to ask? Did God condemn it outright? No. But he didn't authorise it either, which is why at my particular Church (The Church of Christ), we sing in acapella always. I think also with acapella singing it's much easier to focus on worshiping God with it more then being blown away by some fancy piano solo at the same time.

The thing is though, is it wrong? Is it right? or does nobody really know. After all, as Christians, if God doesn't say it, we shouldn't really do it.

I don't attend Church, and very few Church songs inspired me when I did attend, but I would have to say music accompaniment is not prohibited.

Nothing is more perfect in this world than harmony, melody, musical notes, etc. They are notes that exist eternally even without humans giving them life through song. Humans merely give form, shape, structure and originality to the musical notes that exist in eternity.

For me, that is evidence of a divine being, and I think the universal nature of music should be celebrated in all its forms.

And I think that God loves that his creation (humanity) can in turn create sounds that are so passionately beautiful.

As my quote says below, "The only proof he needed for the existence of God was music."

1Cr 14:7 And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped?

1Cr 14:8 For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?
