Is Plastic Surgery UnChristian?

Only if you look 2 points better on the richter scale :lol Honestly if it's for shallow reasons, the person might want to see a psychiatrist first. If a necessity...skin burns etc. Definitely OK. Have a niece that got burnt bad. She was very suicidal at first. More the throat area. Lucky, her mother is a nurse and her father is rich. I really do hurt when I see someone go through life like that. I would never wish something like that on my worst enemy.

amen to that

i think fembot is referring to the tencency of some to try to keep themselves looking young or perfect. I go to the gym and see that alot. Some of the people are vain while others are not.

Yes, my problem with plastic surgery is those people that just want to keep looking perfect. Then that becomes a problem of where do your priorities lie/

I would say that the more true 'need' you have for the procedure, the more OK it is to have it. In the case of burns or physical deformity, for example, of course it's fine. If someone had a very bad-looking nose, then it's still probably OK. But if someone wanted to go from size B to size D breasts just to look sexier, I think we have crossed a line.

There's probably no easy way to do this, but I'd like to compare plastic surgery rates between Christians and non-Christians. It might be interesting.

I think it is the purpose you want the plastic surgery for. Ones heart will be the true judge whether it is being done for the right reason or the wrong reason.

I'll see if I can look it up. Could be interesting.
