[ Testimony ] Is that all there is?

In my youth I looked forward to finding a wife that would love me and I her and with this union we would have children and in the end become a grandfather of many. That time has come and passed, I am a grandfather many times over. I have done all I wished for so is that all there is, am I now just waiting to die and be done with it or what?

Why are you so downcast? Like you I have lived long, and have my own flock of granchildren who are a never ending joy to me. I delight in witnessing and preaching in The Lords service and will do so until he calls me home. I love a good seafood dinner with my wife, riding my harley in the mountains is an uncomparable experience even to a jaded soul. I relish my time in prayer and companionship with my best friend. How good is a cup of strong coffee on a cold morning? Or a glass of ice tea on a hot afternoon. Have you ever ridden in a jeep with the top off on a dirt road? I enjoyed it so much I went and bought one. Does your cat bite you when you rub her belly? LOL, mine does. but I know she likes it.

My father bought me a willis (sp) jeep and one afternoon I flipped it while riding in the sand dunes. The flip broke my friends leg. Still we survived it to ride in the dunes many times later. And last but not least, thanks for your concern. I will get over it one way or another.

Yes my cat does the same thing when I rub her belly

The new jeeps are a lot bigger than the old willis models and don't turn over near as easy as even the ones built in the 90's. Ours is a 2011 Wrangler 4x4 two door and it has a great roll cage in it. I was in an old Jeep renegade that belonged to a friend of mine when he rolled it, went over twice and ended up laying on its side. I guess if we hadn't had the top on it would have killed us both but we walked away from it just bruised up real bad.

Every now and then The Lord will speak to me, audibly. Not real often maybe once or twice a year. Some years ago I got down in the dumps and was depressed about the way my life was going and I decided I would just go to bed and lay there till I died. Anyway I layed there for about two hours and got to thinking God must really despise me cause it seemed everything I prayed for was coming out just the opposite of what I requested. Now I didn't say it out loud, that thing about God must hate me, but He heard it just the same cause all of a sudden The Lord spoke right out loud to me and all He said was "God Loves You."

You know that one little sentence changed my whole outlook on life. I got up out of that bed and stood back up straight and started living again. The last time He spoke to me was when I had been studying up on what it is like day to day in heaven. I aint never seen a good description of it and I really wanted to know. so after a month of searching for th eanswer I was laying in the bed looking up verses about heaven in my Bible when he spoke again. All He said was, "In Heaven there is peace and joy beyond human understanding." i waited but he didn't say nothing further on the matter. I thought about that a while and suddenly realized there wasn't any more to be said. if it is beyond my understanding what could He say? I'll just take His word for it and wait to see it in person. God Bless, Reverend Cleman Simpson.

I did not interpret the KJV of the Holly bible in the same way youhave. What I got out of the KJV of the Holly Bible is that we aregiven a choice. And those choices put us in Heaven or Hell in thehere and now.

My heaven or hell is now, how I live, how I treat others, the lifeI create for myself. I find that if you keep an open mind, be kind toothers, be honest and obey the Ten Commandments as best you can andwalla, you be in heaven, in the here and now.

And Hell occurs the same way. At least that is the way I see it inmy 64 years.

I have evolved a bit, for good or bad, but I do live life andheaven is what you make of it, in the here and now

That doesn't seem to fit the mold of all, and then is it really true?

John 9:1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
John 9:2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
John 9:3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

Is 1 Corinthians 15:32 really saying "let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die." All I have to do is follow the ten commandments? Have you ever known anyone to personally do that?
Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Their was no retirement package for Moses ,regardless of the fact that He was denied entry into the Promised Land Deuteronomy 34 .Rick Warren points to a reality of being a believer" While we might retire from a career , we will never retire from serving God" Our work is only done when we have by the grace of God performed our services or duties , and sacrificed ourselves in His service to His satisfaction.
Only then do we qualify to meet the ultimate prize in Matthew 25 :23 "Well done , good and faithful servant!"

So one must enjoy the blessings of God's gifts of family and happines while we are still physically capable, and are allowed and afforded the privilage by His mercy to do so.Others who are less capable wether by accident ie blindness, cripple would give whatever they had in order to just be able to maybe, fetch a bucket of water in Gods service or be able to read and undertand His word ,which some of "Us "(me included) take as part of a givern right to a comfortable life .
"The show aint over till the fat lady sings" is what keeps me rolling.
