Is the Bible Complete?

Is the Bible really complete?
Is it true that we cannot add any more books to the Bible?
I don't see where it says we can't?
Does anyone know for sure or is it just opinion?
I'd like some help with this.
Thank you.

In the OT, they were awaiting the messiah, and direction from that point forward.

Now that we have the NT, with an ending (Revelations), what else is needed? To be honest, I don't think we need anything more. God has made his word clear enough in the NT, with no gaps. It also doesn't elude to the fact that there will be another coming event (like Jesus). Basically, Jesus died for us, the NT was given for direction, and sometime very soon he will return. That will be the end of the story, so to speak.

We know that each of us are epistles, written by God, known and read of men. 2 Cor 3:1-2,3
  • Also we know that there is a "more sure word of Prophecy," (which is the Bible). 2 Peter 1:19; Psalm 119:105; John 5:35; 2 Corinthians 4:6; 1 Peter 1:10; Revelation 22:16
  • We are told to study to show ourselves approved, rightly dividing the word. 2 Timothy 2:15; Romans 6:13; Eph 1:13; James 1:18
  • The word of God is a two-edged sword (okay, that might not apply but it was thrown in there at no extra charge)
  • Each man is to work out his or her own salvation with fear and trembling. Philippians 2:12; Phil 1:5,6; Phil 4:15; Heb 5:9

Somethings are more sure than others. It's good that we have the Bible, the more sure word.

They took out a lot of the Bible and the book of Enoch wasn't even discovered until relatively recently.

<dir>Rev 22:18

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Rev 22:19

And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

We can look at this two ways: 1. John was only talking about The Book of Revelation, or 2. Since he is the author of the LAST book of the Bible, he was talking about the whole book. I tend to believe that he was talking about the whole book (the Bible as we know it).
