Thiers verbs in song of Solomon, preposition. But we are looking at a object. This object is person. The Shulamite girl and the shepherd. She is tanned, and works in vineyard. Daughters of Jerusalem resent her, and her brothers are mad at her. Could vineyard correlate with John chapter 15, Jesus is the vine and branches are Christian people?. Is the world friendly towards christianity??. Can Christian compromise their values and beliefs??. Could the Shulamite girl be Gods Elect??. The world and Christians are moving in different directions. Some denominations broke away from foundation of christ, Corinthians chapter 3, and teach false doctrine. Epistle John chapter 2, dont receive anyone who brings different doctrine. Are misguided preachers in the vineyard? Is song of Solomon about not comprising your values and beliefs??.

The Song of Solomon is a love song written by Solomon and abounding in metaphors and oriental imagery. Historically it depicts the wooing and the wedding of a shepherdess by King Solomon and the joys and heartaches of wedded love.

Allegorically it pictures Israel as God's espoused bride, Hosea 2:19-20, and the church as the bride of Christ. As human life finds its highest fulfillment in the love of man and women, so spiritual life finds its highest fulfillment in the love of God for His people and Christ for His church.

Hebrew scripture has many levels of meaning, and that is especially true for poetry like the Song of Solomon. But with the various levels, one must always start with understanding the basic plain meaning before going off onto allegory or "spiritual" meaning. BTW - in Hebrew all the various levels are true.

At its base, the SOS (as For His Glory pointed out) is a very erotic ancient near east love poem; or rather a collection of love poems. They are not in chronologic order which is why you have the big wedding parade happening in the middle of the book and Shulamite talking about being in her parents home near the end.
Could vineyard correlate with John chapter 15, Jesus is the vine and branches are Christian people?..... Could the Shulamite girl be Gods Elect??.
BTW, God had it right by giving the Hebrew scriptures (old testament) FIRST. It is backward to try to start with the New Testament and then try to base the OT scriptures on that. The OT is foundational to the NT.
