Israel's Future Rescattering & Second Exodus...

Javier asked if we could start a thread on this very subject. Josh and others, if this is or isn't what you believe, maybe it could be discussed there. The thread is in this End Times Forum.

I hope you look at the bible from the house of Israel and house of Judah (the Jews) perspective---

Absolutely. It is also essential in understanding Ezekiel's symbolic action in Chapter 4 of him laying on his left side for 390 days for the house of Israel and on his left side for 40 days for the house of Judah. Sometimes the two are grouped/blanketed into "Israel", but the context determines the application.

there were two main divisions of God's people. An earlier post to which I asked you about this seemed to indicate that, but unless one understands from that perspective and assigns all prophecy of Israel to the Jew only, then contradictions arise---- hence, that is why people spiritualize the promises of Israel to the church and claim that things were past already .

Oh sure, I realize that the Ezekiel prophecies apply mainly if not only to the Jews, thus why I try to look specifically at the Jews' scattering and return. However a similar passage in Matthew 25 turns out to be for all the nations, thus not just the Jews. But yes, overall I try to be very careful about looking for who is being identified in each prophecy.

Yes the Church is his Temple and is still being built up, but all the promises culminate in their ultimate fulfillment in the end times, when we are Married to Christ as his bride. When the Bible said that we were given the Holy Spirit as a promise [lit. downpayment], the Greek word used there is used today in Greece to mean an engagment ring (a dowry of sorts) - in the sense of a future promise of the fulfillment of the marriage (thus engaged). We experience God's promises presently but they culminate untimately in the end, which is yet future. Remember the saints wait eagerly/anxiously for their revealing in glory (Rom 8:19). God's coming glory brings in his end times promise of dwelling among us and being with us in his Glory - and only those who are righteous will be with him - he has yet to purge the wicked from among us (see Ezekiel 20:37-38 & Ezekiel 34).

P.S. How did we get off on this from the main topic? Do you disagree that Ezekiel contains prophecies yet future? If so then you disagree with every commentary I have read yet.

God Bless,

~Josh
Josh the Cybershark,
I believe Ezekiel has been fulfilled, except for any of it's prophecies that may pertain to the New Heavens and New Earth. Though my inclination is to believe that the Church is the Spiritual fulfillment of the chapters on the Temple. I also believe the Church is the Bride of Christ now and in glory we see things as they really are, kind of like the long period of time prior to the Jew's consumating of their marriage in Christ time. Though they were legally married, they waited up to a year before the wedding feast and consummation.

Josh the Cybershark,

LOL. That's a new one. I think I like that designation. :)

Well I respect that you were straight forward and said exactly what you believe. I'm glad you laid it all down on the table. I respect straight-forwardness. But now I would also respectfully disagree with you on the theory that it was all fulfilled in the past. However I believe this would make an excellent topic of its own for you to begin (perhaps you could make a thread just called "Ezekiel" followed by some subtitle) and you could do the honors of laying out why you believe most of Ezekiel was past fulfillment and quote certain verses in conjunction with those beliefs. Then I could reason with you in a more straight-forward manner. Perhaps I could enlist the aid of my commentaries as well to show you their views.

A couple of end-times events as per Joel, Isaiah, Jeremiah and Zechariah.
The day of the Lord:
1. darkness.
2. the nations attack
3. the nations take Jerusalem.
4. God counterattacks.
5. the armies die upon the mountains of Israel.
6. the remains are identified
7. the remains are buried in the valley leading west toward the sea.
8. the weapons will be burned as fuel.
9. the commander will die separate from his army as per Sennaquerib.
10. The year of retribution;
5 months as per Noah
7 months as per Ezekiel,
a number of nations are mentioned as being judged in the last chapters of Jeremiah.
11. whereas the old testament describes a pre-millenial scenario, the mention of Gog after the millenium means the following:
There are two different decriptions on how they die.
The first are struck by a plague and the sword that comes from the mouth of the Lord, dying on the mountains of Israel.
The second invasion results in their death by fire as they approach the city and encampment of God.

This was one of my more interesting studies I remember doing, so I thought I might bump it up again and see if the discussion can be rekindled. I am still convinced from the context of the passage in Ezekiel that there is a scattering yet future (possibly referring to the persecution of the Jews during the Tribulation or "Time of Jacob's trouble"). Actually now that I've taken the daunting task of trying to read Ezekiel it has been immensely rewarding. I didn't realize that there were so many NT parallels that come from Ezekiel until I started reading it (and I've only done the first 25 chapters - I'll have to go back and finish it sometime).

9. the commander will die separate from his army as per Sennaquerib

That's an interesting statement. Do you mean there is something in the Bible's eschatology that suggests that will happen in the future? If so in connection to which army, and who is the commander?

God Bless,

~Josh

Abimeleck is a ruler and commander that dies when part of a millstone crushes his skull while he storms a city wall.
A precedent for the beast who is now a commander that will also suffer a mortal wound to the head.

Sennacherib is another commander.
He boasts, blasphemes, his army is wiped out, and he flees only to die by the hands of his sons.
A precedent for the beasts as they are captured and cast alive into the lake of fire.

Their armies are then described with the following difference;
1. the old testament specifies a pre-millenial fulfillment.
The armies meet at Armageddon.
They then ascend to Jerusalem and take it.
God counterattacks and the armies die upon the mountains of Israel.
2. the new testament specifies a post-millenial fulfillment.
Revelations specifies Gog and Magog attacking the city and encampment of God, only to die from fire cast from the heavens.

So, when you have scripture that describes more than one scenario, you are then open to more than one fulfillment.
In this case, Gog attackes both before and after the millenium.

I've been reading alot in Ezekiel recently and I've seen a few things which the fiction series Left Behind does not tell you, and that's too bad because it is very interesting. God has promised in the end times to restore Israel from the countries in which they are scattered and bring them to himself to be judged as a nation in the wilderness and those who he approves of (seperating the sheep from the goats - Matthew 25 & Ezekiel 34) he will then allow to enter into the promised land (during the Millenial reign).

Ezekiel 20:

"33"As I live," declares the Lord GOD, "surely with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm and with wrath poured out, I shall be king over you.
34"I will bring you out from the peoples and gather you from the lands where you are scattered, with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm and with wrath poured out;
35and I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there I will enter into judgment with you face to face.
6"As I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so I will enter into judgment with you," declares the Lord GOD.
37"I will make you pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant;
38and I will purge from you the rebels and those who transgress against Me; I will bring them out of the land where they sojourn, but they will not enter the land of Israel. Thus you will know that I am the LORD.
"

This is the point where Israel is grafted back in as a nation (Romans 11). But God will purify them with trials (presumably during the Tribulation) and he will scatter them but then (at the end of the tribulation it seems) will gather them again into one place: the wilderness, where he will again enter into judgement with them face to face. Read Revelation 12 where the woman (who represents Israel) goes into the wilderness to see the coorelation). What is really interesting though is that God will repeat history for the Israelites, in perhaps a redo of coming down on Mt. Sinai. I plan to study this further.

But that Israel will be scattered again is certain. Read the following quote:

Even before the children of Israel entered Canaan, God warned through His prophet Moses that He would scatter them "among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other" (Deuteronomy 28:64), if they refused to "obey the voice of the Lord" (verse 62). The scope of Israel's dislocation is clear: Among all people, from one end of the planet to the other.
Much later, the prophet Ezekiel refers to this same warning:
Also I lifted My hand in an oath to those in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the Gentiles and disperse them throughout the countries, because they had not executed My judgments, but had despised My statutes, profaned My Sabbaths, and their eyes were fixed on their fathers' idols. (Ezekiel 20:23-24)
Ezekiel wrote after Assyria had taken Israel captive. His warning words about population dispersion were not for ancient Israelites of the past, those already dispersed, but for the peoples of an Israel yet futureâ€â€the Israel of today.
The prophet Amos speaks of this scattering through the use of the sifting-of-grain metaphor:
"Behold, the eyes of the Lord God are on the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from the face of the earth; yet I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob," says the Lord. "For surely I will command, and will sift the house of Israel among all nations, as grain is sifted in a sieve; yet not the smallest grain shall fall to the ground." (Amos 9:8-9)

Prophecies Not Yet Fulfilled

Clearly, these prophecies have not yet been fulfilled. To date, God has not actually scattered Israel among all nations. Historically, He did not use the Assyrians to scatter Israel so much as He used them to resituate Israel to locales south of the Caspian Sea, in what is now northern Iran. In process of time, God further resituated Israel through a number of migrations into rather localized areas of the earth, such as northern Europe, the British Isles (including Ireland), the North American continent, Australia, and New Zealand. Notice that these areas are isolated from the capitals of the Gentile world.
To this day, God has not yet scattered Israel among the Gentiles en masse, not yet sifted them "among all nations." Today's demographic reality does not look at all like the population distribution of which God speaks in Deuteronomy 28, Ezekiel 20, or Amos 9.
Scattering and Siftingâ€â€When?
This level of scattering is yet to come. A number of scriptures appear to connect this vast displacement of Israelites with Israel's fall and the time of "Jacob's Trouble." For example:
One-third of you shall die of the pestilence, and be consumed with famine in your midst; and one-third shall fall by the sword all around you; and I will scatter another third to all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them. (Ezekiel 5:12)
Does the scattering mentioned here occur before Israel's fall or after? As an approach to that question, it may be instructive to compare Matthew 24 with Ezekiel 5. Note, however, that the order in which the terrible events cataloged in them is not the same. Comparing the number of thens in Matthew 24 with the number of thens in Ezekiel 5 suggests another difference. Matthew wins out, with his ten to Ezekiel's two. As Herbert Armstrong so often pointed out, Matthew 24 is sequentialâ€â€first this, then that, "immediately after" the other.
However, aside from the last clause of Ezekiel 5:12, where it is quite obvious that the sword will follow the third God has scattered "to all the winds," there is no explicit idea of sequence in the Ezekiel passage. Nothing in verse 12 (or in its companion, verse 2) argues for a sequence of events: first pestilence, then famine, then war, then scattering. Even though war is mentioned in this passage after pestilence and famine, the war of which God speaks could causeâ€â€and hence, precedeâ€â€the pestilence and famine. Historically, this is not at all an unusual sequence. War comes first, causing famine.
So, it is possible, even plausible, that some part of the prophesied scattering could take place before the pestilence. It could even take place in a time of relative peace and prosperity.

I need some help working out the difficulties though in tying all the end times prophecies together into a sequence with the tribulation and all from Ezekiel, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Zechariah, MAtthew, and Revelation. Could anyone supply any kind of a coherent proposal on sequence of events? I would appreacite it.

God Bless,

~Josh
Josh your expressed desire is more honorable than the scrambling of Scripture from above as a supposed reflection of the truth of the words left us by the prophets you have cited. It is true that Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Zachariah were in a contemporary time together which extended for a period of about 100 year s from just before the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple and the captivity of the Jews by the Babylonian Empire, under the rule of Nebuchadnezzar. Ezekiel and Jeremiah lived to see the proofs of God's prophetic, projected judgment come to its fulfillment in the sequence of their own histories along with another prophet who cited even greater long term prophecies relative to real time than any other of God's prophets before him or after his period in history.

Zechariah also lived in the latter era of the Babylonian Empire,... and with Daniel, he saw with his own eyes, as did Daniel, God's fulfilling of literal time prophecy, the 70 year, pass upon the nation, Israel, when the Medes and the Persian, which ruled conjointly as one empire. After the fulfilling of the 70 years of captivity, as had been foretold, under this empire, the Persian Ruler, with almost immediacy, granted a decree for religious tolerance with freedom for possible reconstruction of their city Jerusalem. This was about 538BC.
Note the time relationships cited by the prophet Jeremiah for this 70 year period was not to be interpreted as some "spiritual" event: God's intended purpose for the prophecy was a projection of His power of Judgment upon the whole of the physical nation, Israel, for real time. And it did transpire as history in real time!

But of all the prophets, Jesus Himself, commended the reading of the prophet, Daniel. For what reason? Actual Jesus reasoning extended far beyond the coming destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple there in 70AD. Why? Because Jesus was (and yet is) the real and ultimate "star" of Daniel's prophetic outlines for the rise and fall of all the world Governments from Neo-Babylon through to the Second Advent of Jesus, the Messiah, specifically addressed in Daniel chapter nine.
Teh introduction to the Messianic prophetic time set, also implies the cessation the Jews as "a nation to God" should they reject their coming Messiah. Which they did, ... as a nation. And the last verse of the chapter relates how the ritual sacrifices and oblations would cease, becoming an abominatiion to God after the Sacrifice of Christ. Hence also the "consumation" to "desolation" marked off for Jerusalem and the Temple, in 70 AD, after the crucifixion of Christ "in the midst of the 70th week of years, between 30/31AD.

The 70 weeks were intended to run in an absolute sequence for number. Not after the manner of the seeming most accepted and projected view that 69 weeks were to the cross of Christ, where the "great time-clock" of God supposedly stopped, not to restart until just 7 literal years before the close of history. Very unsound for accounting the time prophecies of either Daniel or Revelation with Godly, Biblical Intelligence.

This becomes very easily recognizable when it is perceived that chapters 2,7,8,11 and 12 are presenting directly paralleling concepts for the same outline for events to transpire relative to the rise and fall of the nations, or empires, from NeoBabylon through to "the everlasting kingdom" at "the Last Day," or Second Coming Of Jesus Himself: The Mega-"Star" of this unbroken (and I stress the word, "unbroken") sequential Prophetical History, from beginning to close, is none other than Jesus, the Messiah of the Bible prophets.

The only way rightly understand the "times" relative to the numbers mentioned in both Revelation and Daniel is to accept that Daniel is the First book for the Understanding of the prophecies projected by the "Spirit of Christ" in the book of Revelation. In Both Books, it is "The Mind of Christ" that should prevail over the human imaginings. The "days" of Daniel: the 1260 days ("time.times, and the dividing of time") of Daniel, chapters 7and 12 are representative of the same eras of history as found in Revelation 11:2 and 3. In Rev. 13:5 the same time is referenced again as 42 months: And again, the same time is twice referred in 12:6 as "1260 day" and also as in Daniel, chapter 7 and 12, Rev.12:14 makes reference to the same "time" inn exactly the same words, "time, times, and and half a time." As from the Hebraic understanding a "time" is representative of one year. the average number of days per month were for the Jews about 30 days, that multiplied by 12 months per year is 1260 days, or 42 months.

The "days" of Daniel paralleling prophecies for the rise and fall of the empires were these: The "time, times and the dividing ("half")of times from chapters 7 and 12, the 1290 "days" of Daniel 12, the 1335 "days" of chapter 12, and the 2300 "days" of Daniel chapter 8: And ALLthese "times" are directly associated to the operations of one "little horn" of both chapter 7 and 8, and to the to "the Daily," "the transgression of desolation," and "the abomination that maketh desolate" of chapters 8,11 and 12. Hence there is a positive Parallel, correlative, association between chapters 2, 7, 8, 11 and 12 for proper placement of the "days" amid the sequential rise and fall of the nations from the era of Great Babylon through to the Second Coming of Christ.

Daniel 2 provides us the name for the first empire of the sequence. That Kingdom was great Babylon. Daniel 8 parallels chapters 2 and 7; although the symbolisms for the sequence of these kingdoms are different. However Daniel 8 presents very directly by name which kingdoms are meant by the symbols. These Kingdoms, the kingdom of the Medes and the Persians which ruled as one kingdom, were to follow in sequence immediately after the fall of Babylon. After the fall of the Medo-Persian Empire , would follow the Grecian Empire. The "little horn" of Daniel 7 and 8 would be him (a kingly "authority") of a very different from, and very aggressive and oppressive and overpowering governor above all the previous "kings" (world governmental authorities) that ever preceded him: not as representing any one private individual subject to our short, temporal life-span; but as persons elected to office as head of a sovereign state with extreme religious/economic control authority detrimental to a people professing an affirming belief and trust in the True God and Creator: much as the kings of Babylon did over Israel in their captivity.

And so what about the placement of the "days" relative to Daniel's outline/s given him by the messenger Gabriel? By now the reader should begin to comprehend that these "days" of the prophecies of Both Daniel and Revelation, being directly related to the paralleling. sequential prophetic outlines, must be respected, not as literal "days," but that as per intelligence from evidence, being representative of period far exceeding any 24 hour periods. It simply makes sense by the evidences shown in Daniel's outline and his feelligs expressed, that these "days" were intended as representative for numbers of years, to begin fro the event of the rise of "the little horn" to its power to dominate to its demise at the coming of "the Prince of Prince," the Messiah, at the close of the 2300 years.

Hence the sequence of the "time, times, and an half a time" should be accounted to have begun early after the fall of the divided fourth kingdom, Rome, had transpired as history, following in the early years, after the year 476AD with the rise of the Papacy to Dominion, and to a sovereign state of rule, (The Vatican State, the city of the seven hills), over the greater part of the Christan populous of Western civilization and the global community, and to which nearly 150 nations now send political ambassadors of state to inquire for the popes counsel on matters of international political consequences.

Now. As per the sequence for the accounting of the numbers of years. The 2300 "days" are representative of the length of years of ruling "little horn" from the time it interjected itself as mediator between God and Mankind. This Vicarivs Interposition as Mediator between man and Christ, who offered by His own sacrifice to become, in reality, our heavenly "Daily" is a blasphemous opposition against the very God of our promise for Eternal Salvation. From the early years of this interposition, began the count of the "time, times and an half a time." Adding 30 years to the 1260 year period will bring us to the end of the 1290 years. A time when the "little horn" was prophesied to receive a near fatal "wound," but would be revived and revitalized to its former strength.

Meanwhile there would also be granted a period of release from the former religious suppressions and oppressions over the period of some 45 years. This brought us forward to the 1335 years of Daniel 12. The remaining years (2300 less 1335) point us forward to the "Nearing" year of the Second Coming of "the Prince of Princes" and the flaming demise of "the little horn" at the close of the 2300 years.

Sincere for the truth of Messiah and His Return.
[1260 > 30 > 45 > (2300-1335)] ="2300 days"/years.
Note: no specific closing year has been projected.
"Despise not prophesying. Prove all things. Hold fast that which is Good." Harv

Having said all that harv, do you agree or disagree that there will be a second scattering and regathering of Israel in the future? That meeting in the wilderness with God face to face as described in Ezekiel has not happened yet, so based on the context of that chapter (a regathering of the Jews) it seems to imply they will be scattered again. What do you think?

Hi Josh. They are scattered as we speak. Dispersion of the Jews pretty much came to a head beginning in 70AD. Daniel and Jesus alluded to this. That is why historians and Biblical scholars refer to this time as the Great Diaspora. They can't be any more scattered across the face of the earth than they are now. Many a time have I heard that there is not a place in the world where you won't find a Jew. While there is truth in this, only God know who and where they are and will gather them Himself at His appointed time in the future.

I just can't see them being brought back together only to be re-scattered and reunited again. I believe all that's left is a regathering and re-grafting of those who God has chosen as part of His ekklesia.

One of the things I've learned and try to do wisely is, to carefully determine which prophecies are past and which ones are to come. Being basically a pre millennial historicist (in training, btw, lol) I believe many OT prophecies have come to past. We see much prophecy as "history, pre-written". This is the belief of many of the Reformers. Only thing is, they're amillennial and I'm not. 8-)

Check this out from Newton: http://www.historicist.com/newton/p1c10.htm http://www.historicist.com/newton/title.htm

Yet threescore and two weeks shall it return, and the street be built and the wall, but in troublesome times: and after the threescore and two weeks the Messiah shall be cut off, and it shall not be his; but the people of a Prince to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. Having foretold both comings of Christ, and dated the last from their returning and building Jerusalem; to prevent the applying that to the building Jerusalem by Nehemiah, he distinguishes this from that, by saying that from this period to the Anointed shall be, not seven weeks, but threescore and two weeks, and this not in prosperous but in troublesome times; and at the end of these weeks the Messiah shall not be the Prince of the Jews, but be cut off; and Jerusalem not be his, but the city and sanctuary be destroyed.

Now Nehemiah came to Jerusalem in the 20th year of this same Artaxerxes, while Ezra still continued there, Nehemiah 12:36, and found the city lying waste, and the houses and wall unbuilt, Nehemiah 2:17. 7:4, and finished the wall the 25th day of the month Elul, Nehemiah 6:15, in the 28th year of the King, that is, in September in the year of the Julian Period 4278. Count now from this year threescore and two weeks of years, that is 434, years, and the reckoning will end in September in the year of the Julian Period 4712 which is the year in which Christ was born, according to Clemens Alexandrinus, Irenaeua, Eusebius, Epiphanius, Jerome, Orosius, Cassiodorus, and other ancients.; and this was the general opinion, till Dionysius Exiguus invented the vulgar account, in which Christ’s birth is placed two years later. If with some you reckon that Christ was born three or four years before the vulgar account, yet his birth will fall in the latter part of the last week, which is enough. How after these weeks Christ was cut off, and the city and sanctuary destroyed by the Romans, is well known.

Yet shall he confirm the covenant with many for one week He kept it, notwithstanding his death, till the rejection of the Jews, and calling of Cornelius and the Gentiles in the seventh year after his passion.

And in half a week he shall cause the sacrifice and oblation to cease; that is, by the war of the Romans upon the Jews: which war, after some commotions, began in the 13th year of Nero, A.D. 67, in the spring, when Vespasian with an army invaded them; and ended in the second year of Vespasian, A.D. 70, in autumn, Sept. 7, when Titus took the city, having burnt the Temple 27 days before: so that it lasted three years and an half.
I like the way Newton tells us, in no uncertain terms, that Jesus' death 3 1/2 years into His ministry (and halfway into Daniel's 70th. week) effectively caused all animal offerings (oblations) and sacrifices to cease. Sure, they continued on until the final destruction of the Temple (Mat 24:2) but it all meant nothing on THIS side of the cross.

What does this all have to do with Ezekiel? Well, using Newton's excellent math, Hebrew and Greek skills (he read from the original languages) and knowing the historical context helps put other prophecies into proper perspective. This helps right some of the wrongs of Left Behind and some other issues a future, seven year tribulation period presents.

That meeting in the wilderness with God face to face may have well happened sometime during the Jewish revolt started in 67AD and ending with the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple in 70AD. Is there really a strict timeline between the time the Jews are judged, scattered and brought back in? Something to ponder... and research & study.

Oh, I'm gonna get bashed for this. Not too many here take kindly to the historical view. :-D

They are scattered as we speak. Dispersion of the Jews pretty much came to a head beginning in 70AD.

It is indeed true that many Jews are still scattered. It just makes on wonder then what the full significance of Israel's reconstitution in 1948 was. I might be a partial fulfillment, but actually as I alluded to on the first page it seems there will we a great scattering of believers in the Tribulation, perhaps this is the event expected?

~Josh

OK, I went back. LOL, I forgot we've been over all this already. Sorry,

Oh please don't give up on the litteral element just because it seems hard! I'm working right now on compiling a parallel listing of all the prophecies and how they fit together.

Aah thanks, but don't worry, I still see some of these prophetic elements as still being in the future. I still see a pre wrath harpazo of believers. It's a promise that is scriptural. I still see a time of great tribulation and a time of God's wrath... and a future Parousia of Jesus. Whatever has happened in the past was just a type of these events. The real and final events are still in our future.

I also believe there will be a final gathering of the remnant of Israel; I just don't think 1948 fulfilled this. I believe this gathering will be swift, not something to take place over decades. I believe it will occur during a short period within 1260 days. (Daniel 12, Revelation 12) This is the timeframe I see the Great Tribulation (Satan's persecution against believers and God's wrath [the Day of the Lord]) I see no other 3 1/2 year period in the future or in Revelation or any other scripture without presupposition.

I didn't always believe this. I used to believe in textbook Pretribulation until I was introduced to the PreWrath position. I believed in PreWrath until I started reading what Newton and others believed in Reformation times. Now I am leaning towards some of their historical beliefs and have incorporated the prewrath harpazo portion of the seven year PreWrath position (sans the future seven year period)

A historical view allows one to see many of the prophecies as already taken place in history, without trying to squeeze them into a neat little seven year package. It avoids all the rearranging of Scripture many positions have to do to make it all fit. It also effectually narrows down one's eschatological beliefs to a few pertinent passages in Scripture. I believe this is what the Reformers were trying to accomplish. The PreWrath position attempts to do some of this, but like I said, I don't subscribe to a full, seven year period. If I were to choose one true, future position though, it would be PreWrath.

Heh, it seems like I made this thread (the OP) eons ago, and I'm just now revisiting it. Reading that large chunk of Ezekiel is one of the best things I ever did. It increased my view of the Holiness and Awesomeness of God, especially in relation to Judgement - God didn't play around he made some very serious pronouncements of judgement against them that were in no way pretty. But I learned alot from it, and I hope that my undertsanding of the Prophets increases as I get older.

Josh, have you ever studied Newton and the other Reformer's position? Just curious.

I don't think I've looked that early but only recently have I begun to look into historical Christianity during the period of 1500-1800. The earliest important figure I know of (aside from Newton ofcourse) was William Law (1600s), whose works are Christian classics now, and George Whitefield (another important figure a bit later) also endorsed William Law's views, but they were not phrophetically oriented per say. Actually I have held off for a long time on studying prophecy because I did not have the capacity to understand it, nor did I want to trick myself to think I understood it when I didn't. So after having slowly built up a strong foundation in the essentials of the faith I'm now trying to have a taste of even stronger meat. But as the Bible says, "A little here a little there, precept upon precept". I'm learning. :)

God Bless,

~Josh

Same here Josh... learning and evolving, lol. :) It's a tough subject, choose your "teachers" wisely and try not to lean too hard on contemporary and conventional wisdom that hasn't passed the text of time. ;-)

Cyber,Israel is already scattered,To understand this you have to know who Israel is

If you understand who true Israel is everything should fall into place,so with that let me share this with you,in my next post I will provide you with the sequence of events that you refer to.

There has been much confusion over who is Israel and who are Christians in regards to the end-time prophecies in the book of Revelation. Much of the confusion is due in no small part to the false teaching of a Rapture doctrine wherein they 'need' the Christian Church to be gone after {Rev 4:1} for support of their errant theories. And if they were to accept that the 144,000 'sealed of Israel' {Rev chp.7} are not Jews but rather Christians from the 10 lost tribes of Israel then their Rapture theory washes of it's foundation of sand.

The entire Bible, the Old Testament, the New Testament, the book of Revelation, even past {Rev 4:1} all the way to the last chapter "I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches..." {Rev 22:16} is written to and/or about the Christian Church, that faithful church of God, some of it history, some prophecy, some warning and admonition, some instruction, but all of it for God’s chosen people, the planting of the Lord {Isa 61:3} as they moved from the Garden of Eden into present day history and then beyond into the eternity. It is the true Christian, the followers of Christ who are the light to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus the Son of God, that shall fulfill the prophecy and, for God, by God, spread the Gospel of God during the end-time troubles:

Jesus Christ prophesied of in approx. 603-588 B.C.:

Isa 42:6-9
6 I the LORD have called thee [Jesus Christ] in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.
8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them. (KJV)

The prophecy fulfilled in Jesus Christ’ birth 600 years later:

Luke 2:27-33
27 And he [Simeon] came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,
28 Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,
29 Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:
30 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,
31 Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;
32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.
33 And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him. (KJV)

And since then, it is the followers of Jesus Christ, the Christians, that are the true religion of and from God, ALL other religions are false and vain plantings of satan - period! The Old Testament religion of the Hebrews became Christianity when God sent His Son with the New Covenant (Testament). The religion of Judaism never was the Old Testament Hebrew religion of God, it was, and is, a corruption of it. Judaism (Jews) added 'oral traditions' called The Talmud to the Old Testament Scriptures and totally corrupted God's Old Covenant (Testament) into an ungodly, unscriptural religion.

NOTE: In the Bible you see the term "Jew" used quite a bit. But it isn't in the same sense that we today use the term "Jew." The Word Jew in the Bible can mean two different things: either a descendant of the tribe of Judah OR a person from the land of Judaea (the region in which Jerusalem resides, a 'county' or 'province' so to speak) but not necessarily of the tribe of Judah. it's like you can be an Irishman and live in Germany and yet not be a German. Don't let the different languages and the names in them confuse you on this. Observe:

Jew: Greek word #2453 Ioudaios (ee-oo-dah'-yos);from #2448 (in the sense of #2455 as a country); Judaean, i.e. belonging to Jehudah ["Judah" in Hebrew language of Old Testament] : KJV-- Jew (-ess), of Judaea.

#2448 Iouda (ee-oo-dah'); of Hebrew origin [3063 or perhaps 3194]; Judah (i.e. Jehudah or Juttah), a part of (or place in) Palestine: KJV-- Judah.

#2455 Ioudas (ee-oo-das'); of Hebrew origin [3063]; Judas (i.e. Jehudah), the name of ten Israelites; also of the posterity of one of them and its region: KJV-- Juda (-h, -s); Jude.

Judaea: 1). In a narrower sense, to the southern portion of Palestine lying on this side of the Jordan and the Dead Sea, to distinguish it from Samaria, Galilee, Peraea, and Idumaea. 2). In a broader sense, referring to all Palestine.

So then, when we use the term "Jew" today what are we saying? Allow us to answer that with an excerpt from the Information Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jerusalem, and the The Jewish Almanac themselves, lest anyone think we are being so-called anti-Semitic here:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Who are the so-called "Jews" of today?
A reasonable question answered from logic and historic fact

The word Jew comes from a Greek word meaning descendent of the tribe of Judah, or someone living in the land of Judea. Today's Jews call themselves Jews to falsely imply that they are somehow descendent from the Biblical tribe of Judah.

When asked the question, "Who is Israel? - Who is a Jew?", the Israeli Government's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) unhesitatingly answered thus [emphasis added]:

The term Israelite is purely Biblical.

An Israeli is a citizen of Israel, regardless of religion.

A Jew is a person anywhere in the world born to a Jewish mother, or converted to Judaism, who is thus identified as a member of the Jewish people and religion.

-- Information Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jerusalem; Feb, 1998.

"Strictly speaking, it is incorrect to call an ancient Israelite a "Jew." Or to call a contemporary Jew [an] "Israelite," or a "Hebrew." The first Hebrews may not have been Jews at all, and contemporary Palestinians, by their own definition of the term "Palestinian," have to include Jews among their own people."

--The Jewish Almanac, Oct., 1980, page 3, Bantam Books, Inc. Under a headline entitled... 'Identity Crisis'.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So in the Bible when you see someone referred to as a "Jew" it could mean a 'good' one like Jesus Christ who was a descendant of the Patriarch Judah on His mother's side, OR, it could mean a 'bad' one like the Jews that sought to kill Jesus Christ:

Acts 2:5 (good)
5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. (KJV)

John 7:1(bad)
1 After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him. (KJV)

My point here is that just because you see someone called a "Jew" in the Bible does not necessarily mean that they are a devote chosen man of God, nor, necessarily an evil person with corrupt religion. You have to take each one in context of the Scripture, the Scripture will let you know which kind of 'Jew' is being spoken about.

the Ok, let’s take a brief overview of who were God’s chosen people all throughout the Biblical narrative. At first the faithful of God were born into family lines (Israel), but then after Jesus Christ came, all could be grafted into the family of the faithful and saved. See {Rom 11:13-26}.

I will not further condemn the Rapture theory in this study save to now say that it is probably responsible for as much, if not more, misunderstanding of God’s Word among Christians than even the idolatrous Catholic Church. Peace to you and let us start our study at the beginning to understand the end:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On the sixth day God CREATED all the peoples, tribes, races, ethnics (ethnos’), on the earth (White, Black, Hispanic, Oriental, ...), male AND female He CREATED them. God saw that they were all VERY good {Gen 1:31}, and He rested on the seventh day. On the next day (the eighth) God FORMED Adam in the Garden of Eden (and took Eve from him) for a very special reason.

The peoples of the earth, all the different peoples, were incapable of living up to God’s standards of sinlessness. So God FORMED Adam to be the great Patriarch of the redemption of mankind. And 4000 years later, from Eve, umbilical cord through umbilical cord would be born Mother Mary, through who, by the gifting of the Holy Spirit of God would be born the Messiah of ALL MANKIND who would believe upon Him.

Jesus was the Son of God in the strictest genealogical way. For God FORMED Adam (‘eth ha-adaam = this very particular man Adam) in His own express image. Then from that man Adam God made Eve. So as we see, they were both in that 'likeness' of God even though one be male and one be female, they were become one in marriage. Then through time and 4000 years of childbirth within that family unit: From Adam to Eve to Able who was killed, then to Seth...Eber (Hebrews name came from him)...Abraham, Isaac, Jacob (name changed to Israel by God)...Judah & Levi...David...Mother Mary - would be born the Messiah Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit of God.

Jesus was one unbroken physical seed from God {Gen 3:15}. It is this Jesus that is the Savior to the world, not only Israel from Adam, but also the gentiles from the sixth day creation. Look at it this way: God through Adam through Eve through Mother Mary + the Holy Spirit of God = Jesus Christ, God manifested in the flesh (Emmanuel - God with us).

In the Old Testament we had a man in Christ’s genealogy named Eber {Gen 11:16} (spelled Heber in N.T. {Luke 3:35}). From him we get the name Hebrews. Then in the process of time, through Heber’s family we came to Abraham, who begat Isaac, who begat Jacob. Now God changed Jacob’s name to Israel and he had 12 sons.

These twelve sons are the Patriarchs (founding fathers) of the Twelve Tribes of Israel. There was no such thing as Israel in the Bible until these twelve sons were born (approx. 1775-1728 B.C.). And God changes Jacob's name to Israel in (Gen 32:28 - approx.1739 B.C.). So prior to this the family of Adam (Formed in 4004 B.C.) was God’s chosen and it was they whom through the promise was to come. And by 'chosen' I mean that through them God would save ALL peoples. God loves all His children! Please do not read racism or anti-Semitism into this, there is no racism or anti-Semitism with God’s Word, but satan so loves to plant seeds of discord, so resist the temptation to be used in this manner (race baiting).

In the process of time these Twelve Tribes had a rift, and the split into two Kingdoms:

The Southern Kingdom:
Consisted of two of the tribes (Judah and Benjamin) and were called Judah with their capital in Jerusalem.

Judah punished:
Because of idolatry, God also punished Judah, and the Two Tribe Southern Kingdom Judah was taken into captivity by the Babylonians. In 477 B.C.* Nebuchadnezzar took Jerusalem and destroyed the Temple of God (the same location of the Temple Mount in modern Israel). At this time there are still no Jews, there is only the Kingdom of Judah. ‘Jew’ is a term that we will explain later, but for now understand that it is a religious designation and not a national identifier. In other words, contrary to popular misconception, you are not born a Jew but become one by that particular brand of religion (Judaism). More on that later. [ *all dating as per Companion Bible by E.W. Bullinger]

The Northern Kingdom:
Consisting of the other Ten Tribes were called Israel and their capital was at Samaria.

Israel punished:
Because of idolatry, God punished Israel, and The Ten Tribe Israel nation was taken into captivity by the Assyrians and Israel became a province of Assyria in 611 B.C.* and the people Israel dropped out of the Biblical narrative and profane history as well for the most part. They became not a people (lo-ammi).

In the process of time SOME of the Kingdom of Judah were allowed to return to Jerusalem, most did not. So this small contingent of the Tribe of Judah stayed in Jerusalem and intermarried with the Babylonians, as well as the Edomites (sons of Esau Jacob/Israels’s brother by Isaac) and the Kenites (sons of Cain, which was the son of the serpent/satan {Gen 3:15}). These formed their own religion that was much different than the Old Testament religion of the Hebrews. These who are now called "Jews" added to the Old Testament Scriptures their own "Oral Law" called Talmud. This of course was a corruption of God’s Old Testament religion and the work of satan.

It is these Jews that were in control of the Temple during Christ’s time, it is them that Christ so often chastised and rebuked, it is them that Jesus told:

John 8:44
44 Ye are of [progeny; Greek word #1537 ek (out of)] your father the devil [satan - the serpent in the Garden of Eden], and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning [Cain - Kenites], and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it [satan/serpent uttered first lie (Gen 3:4)]. (KJV)

And it is them that killed the Son of God Jesus Christ by forcing the hand of pagan Rome. So today, when someone calls themselves a Jew they most likely aren’t, they are just ignorant to the preceding events. Not all of Israel or Judah are Jews and none of the Jews are Israel or Judah. It is these Jews that are in large number in modern day Israel (though there are also some true Judah and Israel there as well - they should be properly called Hebrews not Jews - but they don’t know this, it has been kept from them, they don’t know who they are, they have been betrayed by their parents ... parents ... parents). But all can be saved through Christ Jesus!

So in a perversion of truth, these Jews call themselves the chosen of God but in fact are the offspring of Judah that intermarried with the heathen peoples and formed their own perverted religion that disobeys God at almost every turn. The Jewish Anti Defamation League (among others) has suppressed this type of information and labels those who teach it as "anti-Semitic" or "racist" to discredit them, hide the truth, and proliferate the apostasy away from God (though some racists take this teaching and equally in ignorance use it in hate, we are not among that group). But the term "anti-Semetic" is itself a misnomer, for those called "Jews" have very little if any Semitic blood in their veins and they have apostate into heathen religion and forsook God. They have more blood of Cain (Kenites) and the Edomites (Esua - Khazer Jews of Russia) in their veins than blood of Israel or true Judah for that matter. Call it the fox in the hen house if you will. But NOT ALL HEBREW PEOPLE ARE JEWS, in fact, very very very few Hebrew peoples became Jews, and true Israel and true Judah know not who they are.

Ok, so what happened to Israel, the Ten Tribe Northern Kingdom? Did they die off? God forbid, for had they, then God’s Word would have failed, for God promised Abraham that his seed should be as the sand of the sea for multitude:

Gen 32:9-12
9 And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, the LORD which saidst unto me, Return unto thy country, and to thy kindred, and I will deal well with thee................(Gen 32:12) And thou saidst, I will surely do thee good, and make thy seed as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude. (KJV)

Well, there are only 13 million Jews on the Planet of over 6 billion people (less that one percent) so where is the multitude as the sand of the sea? Did God make a mistake, or lie to Abraham in the Covenant? Of course not!!! This is not possible, God cannot lie {Titus 1:2}! Below we shall show where Israel is today, and we will also clarify who Judah is and the Kenites and the Gentiles.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the Bible, who Are The People Of The House Of Israel,
the House Of Judah, The Jews, And The Kenites?
The difference between the peoples of Israel, Judah, the Jews,
and the Kenites (the sons of Cain, the first murderer)

First of all, when studying Biblical history and prophecy, you mustn't confuse the House of Israel with the House of Judah. When you see the 'House of Israel' written of in the scriptures, it refers to the Ten Northern Tribes of Israel (now referred to as the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel). But when you see the 'House of Judah' spoken of, it refers to the Southern Kingdom consisting of peoples of the Tribes of Judah and Benjamin.

Originally, when the Houses were still joined together, there were twelve Tribes. These Twelve Tribes became split into two Houses, one called the Northern Kingdom with it's Capitol at Samaria, and the other called the Southern Kingdom with it's Capitol at Jerusalem. To this very day they are split, with the Ten Northern tribes having lost all knowledge of their identity, as was prophesied of to happen in Scripture:

Rom 11:25
25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. (KJV)

But what ever became of Israel (the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel)? After a three years siege and the final fall of Samaria with it's becoming of an Assyrian Province in 611 B.C. (722 B.C. by profane history), Israel ceased to be and dropped out of history.

But Israel (the Ten Lost Tribes) were never lost to God, they migrated North over the Caucasus Mountains (where we get our word 'Caucasian' from) and settled Europe, eventually populating Scotland, Ireland, Britain, Iceland, and ultimately crossing westward over the seas and established the Americas.

Yes we are the descendants of the lost Northern Ten Tribes of Israel. We are the chosen people of God. Look around the world, who is the last light of hope in the world? That does not mean that we are Jewish, for as you see by the division of the original 12 tribes descended from Jacob/Israel; Judah is only one of those twelve tribes, and Jews are only a small portion of them who mixed with the heathen both physically and religiously. As of Jan 2, 2000, there are only 13 million Jews on the planet (as per http://www.adherents.com), that is less than 1% of the total global population which is 6,099,686,302 (6 billion plus) as of 4:04 EDT Oct 1, 2000 per Popclockâ„¢. But in God's covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob He promised:

Gen 13:16
16 And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered. (KJV)

Gen 17:4
4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. (KJV)

Gen 28:14
14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. (KJV)

Gen 35:11
11 And God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins; (KJV)

Gen 32:12
12 And thou saidst, I will surely do thee good, and make thy seed as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude. (KJV)

Rom 9:27
27 Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved: (KJV)

You do believe God don't you? I know you do. Well then, where are all these people now?!? Those that we now call 'Jews' today are only a portion of the true Tribe of Judah who have intermixed with their Babylonian captors, the heathen and profane descendants of Cain, the first murderer. In other words, all those of the tribe of Judah are not Jews, and none of the lost Ten Tribes are Jews. It is important to understand the differences so that you know who the Bible is speaking about in a particular verse.

That is why in the New Testament, those who betrayed Christ and forced Pontius Pilot's hand into crucifying Jesus Christ were the High Jewish Priest Ca'-ia-phas and the Jewish Temple Hierarchy. They were corrupted both in morals and genealogy, and this explains why Jesus called them 'sons of Cain,' the son of the devil {Jn 8:44} whom was the first murderer in the Garden of Eden. Cain was not of the 12 tribes of Jacob (Israel and Judah combined), but his offspring, the Kenites, which means sons (offspring, no gender implied) of Cain, had intermixed with some of the true Tribe of Judah. These Kenites have mixed with all races and tribes of people on the earth. A Kenite is a descendant of Cain, the same Cain who was the first murderer in the Garden of Eden. Below is a definition from the Strong's Exhaustive Concordance:

Kenite: Hebrew word #7017 Qeyniy (kay-nee'); or Qiyniy (1st Chron. 2:55) (kee-nee'); patronymic from Hebrew word #7014 (see below); a Kenite or member of the tribe of Kajin [Cain]:

Cain: Hebrew word #7014 Qayin: As a proper noun, masculine: Cain = "possession"; the oldest son of Adam and Eve and the first murderer, having murdered his brother Abel.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"...and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name..." {Isa 62:2}

The Old Testament Prophets told that God would change the name of His people. They would be named after Him. And by the name "Christians" they were named after God. Jesus, which in the Hebrew language is: Yehoshua, which means: Yehovah’s (God’s) Savior, Salvation of Yehovah (God). And with Christ, His followers are called Christ men, hence: Christians.

So then, in the New Testament prophecies in the book of Revelation, Christians are Israel, God’s chosen, called by a new name (Isa 62:2 below), called by His name - Jesus Christ - Christ men - Christians.

Isa 62:2
2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name. (KJV)

Isa 62:12
12 And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken. (KJV)

Isa 65:15
15 And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name (KJV)

Jer 33:16
16 In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness. (KJV)

Acts 11:26
26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. (KJV)

This should clear up Revelation chapter seven where the 144,000 "sealed of Israel" are mentioned, they are Christians who, since the Assyrian captivity and deportations of 611 B.C. were stripped of their name Israel! As it is written, because of idolatry, God caused Israel to not know who they are, and the rest of the world is also ignorant as to who true Israel is today:

Deut 32:26 (God speaking)
26 I said, I would scatter them [Israel] into corners [all corners of the world], I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men (KJV)

They (Israel) are mentioned in the New Testament though, for example, the book of James is written to them, written to us: "James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting." {James 1:1}. And again: "Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied." {1 Pet 1:1-2}.

Do you know who you are? God Bless!

Here are the events of the last five months immediately prior to the Second Advent of Jesus Christ that will happen exactly as prophesied in God's Word. We will pick it up at the instructions from Jesus Christ to those who know the truth about the antichrist and are being persecuted during the final days by satan (antichrist) and the deceived ones who are doing his handy work Albeit, most of them, will be doing it in ignorance:

Luke 12:8-12 (Christ speaking)
8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:
9 But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.
10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.
11 And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:
12 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say. (KJV)

Verses {8-10} above pertain God's Elect in the end times (whom you will notice are on earth, not drifting in some Rapture cloud), these Elect will be called upon to deny the true Jesus in the trials that the antichrist shall hold (Jesus will be denied in that the people will be worshipping the false christ). In verse {11} it is speaking of the events at the end of times during satan's five month reign as antichrist. It is the Elect of God being delivered up to the Synagogue of satan for a witness against him before the world. Sadly, many of those who have been mislead with a Rapture doctrine (among others) will actually cause God's Elect to be delivered up to death, that is to say, deliver them up to satan (antichrist) whom is death. 'Death' is simply one of satan's many many names:

Heb 2:14
14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil. (KJV)

They will do it not because they are evil, they really do not know what they do, but the antichrist has deceived them. He (antichrist) will tell them something like: "Let's save more of the people before I bring the Rapture about, bring them to me that do not believe that I am the Messiah from God and I will show them signs and wonders, and in mercy I shall convert their hearts to the truth." But in reality, they are delivered up death - satan. And deceived Christians (Rapturists, Catholics, Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses...) as well as Muslims, Buddhists, Jews... shall betray the 'true to Christ' Christians (God's Elect) to death. But God Himself will protect His Elect:

Luke 21:12-19 (speaking to God's Elect)
12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.
13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
16 And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.
17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.
18 But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
19 In your patience possess ye your souls. (KJV)

A Chronology:

A chronology of events leading up to end of the age:

Satan, as antichrist, will be given power from God to deceive most of the world*1. But it is written that some will stand against satan and not bow a knee to the antichrist*2. These are known as the Election Of Grace, spoken of as the 7000*3. Satan, by means identified in scripture, will locate and seize God's Election, who are men and women who reject satan as the false christ and refuse to bow to him*4. Satan will deliver some of these Elect up to 'Sanhedrins' (synagogues and councils) to attempt to "convert" them and make them worship the antichrist as True Messiah*5. But they will not. In fact it is through the Elect's testimony at these councils (that will no doubt be carried live on satellite, to the whole world), that the 144,000, known as the "Sealed Of Israel", written of Scripture*6, will become aware of the true identity of the antichrist and resist, refusing to worship him as True Messiah.

At this point, the end is very near. The "Two Witnesses", who have been sent earlier from God to lead His Elect in resisting the antichrist, and whom are spoken of in {Rev 11:3-19; below } are murdered by antichrist and his misguided followers. Their dead bodies are left to rot in the street in public view.

This is done by the religious community at the time, the one-world religion; And don't think it can't happen, for have you forgotten the reformation and the millions of people burnt as heretics by the Catholic Church who then confiscated their land and belongings? See: The darkest period of the Papacy. It is also eerily reminiscent of the religious community that called for Christ's crucifixion: "...they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him." {John 19:6}:

Rev 11:3-19
3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

At this point, I would imagine that some who thought that they were really worshiping Jesus Christ begin to get a sick feeling in the pit of their stomachs as they reason within themselves that the True Christ would never do this. They think back to the true Word of God and know that they were warned of this in the Bible, but they had rejected God's True Word instead opting to follow "feel good" doctrines of men. But of course if they were to try to back out now they themselves would be murdered by mob rule, as antichrist has by now stirred the masses into a frenzy. Yes, murdered by the very "Christian Brothers" that had deceived them in the first place. It now sets in: They have been bought and paid for, they have been marked by the beast, and they thought they were such good little Christians; they should have listened to God's Word not the words of men. Put this in the back of your mind and remember this for all you are worth, it still at this time is not to late to repent. If you sadly find yourself like the one above, repent immediately for the time is by now very short!

Deut 4:29-31
29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
30 When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;
31 (For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them. (KJV)

Three and a half days later, as prophesied in the Bible, in full view of the whole world (no doubt carried live to the world by live real-time satellite broadcast), God audibly calls the Two Witnesses back to life and they rise up into Heaven in the sight of men. We are now within one literal hour of Jesus Christ's return, commonly known as the Second Advent.

Rev 11:3-19 (Cont)
11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
14 The second woe [6th trump] is past; and, behold, the third woe [7th trump] cometh quickly.
15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. (KJV)

I guess I don't have to tell you that God is not too happy with those who not only did not listen to His Word, but they killed His True followers for not bowing to the antichrist. Beloved, this is where false doctrines and false teachers/preachers will lead you. Study God's Word and rebuke any man that tries to teach you something contrary to what's in your Bible. God saw to it that you would have The True Word of God for a reason, don't throw that away for the imaginations of vain spiritually dead men.

I will keep it simple and short.
There will be no other 'scattering' of the Children of Israel, only the faithful remnant being hid from AntiChrist during Daniel's 70th.wk.

Vic, I haven't been around in a long time. But the future regathering of Israel, is not the present one. But that of his elect, who even at the present are still scattered in among the nations. Well I would not say some of that number are not present in Israel also, but mostly still scattered.

The scattering of AD 70, fulfilled all the Old Testament prophesies concerning Israel. And we know man is not empowered to act for God. The present regathering of Israel, is necessary for Christs second advent, just as it was at this first, so prophesy may be fulfilled. This regathering, will face the judgments of God during his outpouring of wrath. That time will conclude Jacob's time of trubles. Three and one half years.

Isa:49:8: Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;

This is speaking of the future regathering in day of salvation, at a time Israel calls upon the Lord, will he restore them in one day. This has not happened yet in the present regathering. Israel at present is in a state of unbelief.

Christ also eluded to the future regathering here.

M'r:13:27: And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

I can find no evidence for a future scattering of Israel, other than already fulfilled in AD 70. I know there verses which may lead you to think so, but with careful study do not support any future scattering.

Somebody also got it right.

Re:14:4: These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
Re:14:5: And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

These are Jewish Christians, who have kept their Robe un-spotted, from the sins of the world. Who are not the physical seed of Abraham but the spiritual seed. Those who have the faith of Abraham, and have not trusted in the Law, but have placed their trust in Christ. All the seed of Abraham are those who have believed God (salvation by faith in Christ alone, and not of works), and it has been accounted to them for righteous.
