It’s Part of Being a Christian

I think you will find the following is true:

You will learn an important lesson in life and share it with others, such as the importance of being chaste, or the importance of being humble, or the importance of being sober, hoping it will be helpful to them. However, they will not like the message and become angry with you.

It’s part of being a Christian.

I understand what you mean. And if you add culture to the mixture, you can prepare yourself for a serious explosion. :lol

In many of the African traditions, a woman must prove to a man that she can give him children before he will marry her. According to their tradition, children should take care of their parents when they are old, and the more children you have, the better ‘retirement’ you will have. It is very common for a woman to have a couple children before the man will marry her.<O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:p

Another hiccup is ‘lobola’. Husbands should pay the parents a pre-determined ‘fee’ to marry their daughters. No lobola, no marriage – so they keep on sleeping together and having children out of wedlock.<O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:p

If you ever so gently point out that it might not be what God intended, they get …. ‘angry’. ;)<O:p</O:p

the thing I don't get with lobola, is that it drops with the number of kids!
