What puts you in the "Christmas mood"?

The first or 23rd Christmas Carol?
People wishing you a Merry Christmas?
Seeing Christmas decorations?
Receiving a Christmas gift?
Giving a Christmas gift?
Watching a particular Christmas show?
(Hans Gruber falling off the Nakatomi Towers does it for me)

For me it's the 1st December. I remember as a nipper walking back from school in dark nights and seeing Christmas Trees all dressed up with tinsel and lights in the windows of people's houses.

I'm not allowed to decorate our Christmas Tree. To my wife my idea is tacky. I love a tree with lots of tinsel and flashing lights. The more the merrier.

Going Christmas shopping, not for me but for my family and others.

I think on a serious note though that the world seems to think about Christmas as good tiding and will, reconciliation.
That floats my boat. That's what I pray for.

With regards to Mr Gruber, great film

Music practice...and the tons of Christmas activities I have going on in my art class

When I choke er kindly suggest something to a customer,er ornery , lost and confused snowbird.these flock en mass and have a season.why? Dear Lord can't we shoot them?

these words .. please read them slowly they really pack a wallop

Hark! the herald angels sing
Glory to the new-born King!
Peace on earth and mercy mild,
God and sinners reconciled!

Joyful, all ye nations, rise,
Join the triumph of the skies;
With th' angelic host proclaim
Christ is born in Bethlehem!
Hark! the herald angels sing
Glory to the new-born King!

Christ, by highest heaven adored;
Christ, the everlasting Lord;
Late in time behold Him come,
Offspring of the Virgin's womb.
Veiled in flesh the Godhead see;
Hail, the incarnate Deity,
Pleased as man with man to dwell;
Jesus, our Emmanuel!

Hark! the herald angels sing
Glory to the new-born King!

Mild He lays His glory by,
Born that man no more may die,
Born to raise the sons of earth,
Born to give them second birth.
Risen with healing in His wings,
Light and life to all He brings,

Hail, the Son of Righteousness!
Hail, the heaven-born Prince of Peace!
Hark! the herald angels sing
Glory to the new-born King!

Come, Desire of nations come,
Fix in us Thy humble home;
Rise, the Woman's conquering Seed,
Bruise in us the Serpent's head.
Adam's likeness now efface:
Stamp Thine image in its place;
Second Adam, from above,
Reinstate us in Thy love.
Hark! the herald angels sing
Glory to the new-born King!

the weather has turned cold(er), the leaves have mostly fallen; the air is crisp and cool.

With that...cookies, ornaments, sweaters, sky gets dark 6ish. that one radio station plays christmas songs 24/7. The one cat, minnie, her fur gets huge and puffy. All the outdoor potted plants have to be brought in, and the spare room looks like a greenhouse.

Then, its Christmas time.

real Christmas spirit for me is till about week before Christmas. to commercialized

when the arguments if its pagan or not begin.

As it would be over here,

Thine Master, wouldst thou care for thee to lift ones bonnet of your car to check the servo whilst thou has a hot cup of English tea and a nice biscuit?
