It's Official, The World Is Going to be Taken Over By Robots

Guardian said:
Portions of the aerospace industry employ a relatively new approach called model-based programming, in which machines do most of the coding work and are able to test as they go.

Machines now program other machines. People don't really even know what is in some of the programs. Programming is becoming so complicated that only a few people understand it, and there are not enough of them to double check all of the programming.

Then again, maybe self programming bots will build care-bots to take care of us when we get older. The population is graying. Depends upon the input parameters used to guide the programming bots.

I will pass.you like robots way too much.

The older I get the desire to anbandon technology grows.why? Because I can remember what life waa before the internet and its simplicity.

Umm,.. I think Michael's love of robots will never match this random person who decided to make this video. ROTFL!!! :hysterical (I'm way too hyper tonight)

I highly doubt in my state to evade even Irma you would want to exit florida on a horse. two hours to go where I could drive in less then half and hour. the lady who said that died in 99. aged 94 and I have photos of her home built in 1918. trust me I get the statement but im not willing to go that far back.

I want a George Jetson car.
do we want a person with high blood pressure any heart disease to be able to fly? piloting is limited to being more healthy. plenty of people wont be able to fly and for good reason. one must be able to practice oh crap, I lost my engine and land,oh crap the wheels wont retract or extend, oh crap the wing came off, engine one or two is out or on fire. birds killed the engine and crap I must land. flying will require constant retraining like a pilot must have and who will be able to afford that?

My robot will fly it for me.
robots never fail. I input reads in a machine. the machine rejects proper programmed response to a demand input. it should ask again, sometimes when its over a 1 or 0, it doesn't. which is wrong. I have also codes to locate meters by number or address. on the city hall route. I cant find either at times and must simply scroll and it shows up , the exact same number I tried to input! the machine on todays route in the past mysteriously while downloading the route lost read for the old folks home called st francis manor. so yes machines never do whacky things and never mind that maps can be off. two days ago I had to hunt for an address, two building inputted in our system as the same address and listed by the county as two different locations. agencies will not talk and map info can be way out of date. I have used modern gis maps to verify where the ww2 stuff was simply because they left old imagery of it. one was a range relic, the other was the rr and also old officer barracks in relation to the current hotel for the dodgers then. I have seen google maps post old city hall from 1919 that was razed in the 60s and hasn't been there since. the current city hall has been where it was since. it moved south and back but that isn't material to this oddity.

They are slowly getting better over time.
these aren't made by Jesus, they will have problems, humans must program them. and these cant improve themselves and any enginnered design will have flaws that are often later on missed.

never mind the odd things that from normal wear and tear. you have too much faith in an ecu. I don't , I have to fix those odd things. intermittent hard starts on a car with no cause, no code and often cant be fixed. the faa is anal on what is going to fly and how it is repaired. a while ago you mentioned the problem of requiring a mechanic fix your car. with aircraft ONLY a certified part can be used and only a certified man can fix it! nevermind that with airframes hours of use require the frame be gutted and retrofitted with newer allumimum. low cost single engine piper cubs cost 200 grand.

One day flying cars may be designed and made by robots. Some people have been wary of improving technology for centuries. Tech keeps improving regardless.

Already some companies are experimenting with deliveries by flying drone.

So man will have no jobs,if a robot can cook ,clean, build ,heal.
Only poets, will have jobs.not all can be poets.

Sorry but I too I'm into in Sci fi

Terminator ,the master computer built as overmind, where it could build inteligent machines that could think.the android of trek, the race who built beaver the nanites of trek, the stargate series.the robots ago were defeated in dune and no machine in thar could handle the men on spice and also the navigators who folded space.

While much of that is unrealistic, nothing can't be made and also abused.

You seem to ignore how easy it to that a drone can be made to kill you. We were using uav ,a drone to kill.as a ada guy I fear a drone mounted nuke over the b1b as a drone like the predator is able fly low and quiet .it can engage, find me and kill me before I can see it.

Sure it's feasible but even elon musk said his robots couldn't build as good as humans he removed some robotics to solve that.I posted thar link.

Overmind, how many voices are in you?.we are many,we are legion.

Man in immortal undying bodies

Robby the robot .I don't assume any ekectric, electronic system won't and can't fail. They do.nothing will be made thar will never fail .

Love cpt power for that .

Kindred spirit, that's all. Different for everyone who would like the clock to stop or turn back. Heck there was probably some hoplite that wished iron would have never come around.

Horses,I have routes where these can be found. I read one this month, check read by a barn this week .riding classes given there too.

Bleh you aren't having fun with the fantasy. Who says a jetson type car has to be under constant forward propulsion that if unmanned will dive to the ground? Get all star trek on us. I know you have ideas. :wink

It's more if how isolated we can become despite how close we can be via tech ,abd in the same house.

Nothing wrong with a nature walk.I waa thinking of the time my wife and I hunted for a ww2 ammo bunker and spotted the canals around them ,and road leasing to them.we still have that bromeliad she found on a stump.
