Jealousy and Envy

OK
So we have three words meaning roughly the same thing.

Jealousy
Envy
Coveting

Now I know that God cannot be bad because He is too busy being good.

So how come God is a jealous God punishing sin to the third and fourth generation?

Could it be a righteous jealousy? Jesus can't be bad and yet he got angry and in his anger overturned tables and drove the merchants and customers out of the temple. I suspect His anger and subsequent reaction was righteous.

Then there is the subject of Deceit.
Surely God is not a man and finds a reason to lie.

But Jeremiah said, "Oh Lord you deceived me and I was deceived."

So how come?

Elisha also lied when the Soldiers had him surrounded and were looking for him.

There is no real love in a relationship without some limited Jealousy involved.
God actually has this aspect within His nature, and this is why we have it.
When its out of balance, is when its a BIG problem.
God is a jealous God, while at the same time being Perfect, Holy, and also " God is love".
This is why there are no scriptures that define jealousy as "dont EVER do that".
While covetousness and envy, which are "fallen nature" "sin" issues, are rejected and condemned by scripture .

Obviously...
God is incapable of doing wrong...
So what is the difference between me being envious and God being jealous?

It really comes down to a difference in the definition of these words.

Jealousy, at least on the human level, as a fear that someone is going to take something of yours. We belong to God, and if we sin and do not repent we could wind up in hell, thus being separated from our Creator.

Envy, is wanting something someone else has (which is basically the same thing as coveting).

They are arguably two sides to the same coin.

Jesus said, "It Is Finished!" There is NO GENERATIONAL CURSES of punishing of sin(s) in the New Covenant.
I would respectfully disagree. God hasn't changed His Methods from the O.T.

The practice of Gods Rendering evil to evil is well established in the scriptures, even in the N.T.

Acts 5:
3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.
6 And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.
7 And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.
8 And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.
9 Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.
10 Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.

Acts 12:23
And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.

God also purposefully, generationally extended confusion of the languages of the people at the tower of Babel.

God has also purposefully, generationally placed conflict between people of the middle east and Israel and their allies.

Genesis 16:
12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

HE is God we are not
I know i can over simplify stuff.. for me in my simple world it is just that simple..

There is NO GENERATIONAL CURSES of punishing of sin(s) in the New Covenant. You posted judgement of sin.

There isn't any difference. Judgment remains upon all sin from generation to generation.

John 16:8
And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

“Bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you” (Luke 6:28).

“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree” (Gal 3:13).

In the understandings of the language of scripture the devil also has children.

Matthew 13:
26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

Matthew 13:38
The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

Children of the wicked one ARE cursed from generation to generation.

Matthew 25:41

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

The father of devils is thee devil. And yes, they are assuredly cursed.

John 8:44
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

The curses of God in Christ should not be seen as applicable only to people we see with our eyes. Clearly there are "other parties" involved that are not man.

Ephesians 6:
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Exodus 34:14
Jealousy...Qana (H7862) is a Hebrew word used exclusively for God concerning his zealousness and desire for being the sole God that people worship.

Covet...Chamad...(H2773) is a Hebrew word used for longing for a specific object of desire. This can be wishing you were married to another man's wife (even if she isn't married yet) to wanting a particular car or horse.

Envy...phthonos...(G5784) is a Greek word used for desiring to deprive something from someone just because they have it. Different from Jealousy (which is God's pervue) and different from coveting this has more of a connotation of Judgment associated with it in the belief that the other person doesn't deserve what they have.
Romans 1:29

And that is the real difference.
It isn't in the English...as we really don't have equivalent words as the Hebrew and Greek. We just have close proximities. So the translators have done what they could.

We are agreeing...If any Believer or un-saved person operate under the "LAW" they are curse. Also if any angel or person preach a different gospel they are double accursed (Gal. 1:8-9). However, I don't agree that this curse is passed down anymore.
