This is the exact argument I use and have used on people for years now.

It brings it back to my favorite Bible teacher, Chuck Missler's quip:

If you believe what Jesus, The Son of God, said, you don't have a problem with a young earth.

If you don't believe Jesus, The Son of God, you have bigger problems than the age of the earth.
