Bible Study Jesus is God's Gardener

Jesus is God's Gardener

It must be stated that since Jesus Christ is the second and last Adam, Jesus is obligated to care for God's garden just like God commanded the first Adam. God's garden (hint: not the entire world) is all those who receive the indwelling Holy Spirit (hint: the Christian and Jewish faith). Is it any wonder that the Untied States is blessed by God even though many claim that we are unworthy of God's blessings. God blesses this nation because God has commanded Adam (hint: now Jesus Christ) to care for his garden even if it is full of weeds and insects.

Believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and then get baptized, and then you'll become part of God's garden where Jesus Christ will care for it for eternity! As long as Jesus Christ is in bodily form in heaven (hint: the resurrection) then God's command to Jesus (hint: as the second and last Adam) to care for his Garden is forever in effect!

God Bless

Amen

Amen Brother. The actual Garden of Eden is in the New Jerusalem right now. That is where the throne of God the Father is and where the resurrected Son Jesus is at His right hand. The New Jerusalem is where Jesus said, "In my Fathers house are many rooms." And you're right, we are God's Garden of which Jesus cares for it so tenderly.

This reminded me of a store in our area called Gods Little Garden. They sell all types of natural health products for our wellness. Jesus doesn't sell us Gods grace, but gives it freely for all our wellness as we are His garden He takes care of.

Happy Resurrection day to you and yours.

Amen, Chopper. Many Christians are confused about these fundamental truths.

It must be stated that since Jesus Christ is the second and last Adam, Jesus is obligated to care for God's garden just like God commanded the first Adam.

Jesus was born for one purpose and one purpose only, to redeem mankind from the consequences of sin.
1Jo 3:8b (RSV) The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.

Believer's are not Jesus' "garden." They are His brothers and sisters.
Rom 8:29 (RSV) For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the first-born among many brethren.

Adam was the first of the race of fallen man who relinquished the gift of eternal life.
Jesus is the first of the race of God-bearing man who have been again given the gift of eternal life.
Rom 5:16-17 (RSV) And the free gift is not like the effect of that one man's sin. For the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation, but the free gift following many trespasses brings justification. If, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.

Adam brought sin into the world.
Jesus destroyed the power of sin.
1Co 15:55-57 (RSV) "O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting?" The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

When Adam finished his work he died and returned to dust.
When Jesus finished His work, He rose again from the dead and sat down at the right hand of the Father.
Heb 10:12-13 (RSV) But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, then to wait until his enemies should be made a stool for his feet.
Heb 1:3b (RSV)When he had made purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

Rather than just "tending His garden," Jesus sustains the entire universe.
Heb 1:3a (RSV) He reflects the glory of God and bears the very stamp of his nature, upholding the universe by his word of power.

Many come to learn. Always post the scriptures for truth to be revealed.

Thank you iLove. Here is a Scripture....
Revelation 21:1 "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.
21:2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
21:3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God."

I posted one Scripture in my response which was....John 14:2 "In my Father's house are many rooms."

Taking both verses, Our Father's House has always been somewhere tangible. Heaven is an expanse, so God's has a place where His Throne is and where He has always been and rules the universe. That tangible place is the New Jerusalem according to Rev. 21:1. Notice 21:2 "New Jerusalem coming down out of Heaven from God."

A critical verse for my response to where God's House is....the dwelling place of God is with man. So, the dwelling place of God has always been the New Jerusalem. At the end of the ages, God, with His "House" comes down out of Heaven and comes to the new earth to be with His Saints forever. Amen!
