I think it is wrong to put jokes about Jesus on tv, it is wrong.

This is just a bad as Joking about JFK getting shot, or Martin Luther King

or Joking about people dieing from AIDS

Why is everyone so desensitized Jesus is our God!

we should have some respect...most Christians don't care

God has feelings and knows all...

Usually its very wrong to be indignant towards the Lord. Oh and about taking his name in VAIN? Yeah. There was one joke I remember hearing though albeit not on tv that was funny. I'll butcher it but it went something like this:

A man and his wife were on vacation in Israel and suddenly his wife keeled over dead. His wife always expressed a love for the land of Israel and wanted to see it all her life and now that she had died there someone suggested perhaps he should bury her there.

The man replied: No, thanks. I heard about a guy once who died and was buried here. He came back to life three days later, and that's just not a chance I willing take.

It wasn't joking about the resurrection itself. The joke was a commentary on old married couples. The guy was so paranoid about his pretentious wife coming back, that he didn't want to take such a ridiculous risk. It's a tip towards the authenticity of the resurrection while poking fun at stereotypical old married people. But yeah, I would never make an open mockery of the resurrection.

It would seem some people take things too literally or seriously. We need to laugh and have fun sometimes...Life doesn't always have to be serious. Maybe it's my morbid sense of humor.

Great joke! I laughed very hard! :):clap:yes And I do not think that it is disrespectful at all of Jesus.

Heres an old joke you may have heard before, and you would have to know the doctrinal stances of the Sadducee sect to appreciate it, but I'll give it any way:

Why do they call a Sadducee a Sadducee? ans: If you did not believe in the resurrection, you would be sad-you-see too!

happy new year
